I agree that they are more than capable of fucking things up.

I believe that they know they have a money printing machine with D4. So, if they make improvements to the core of the game, then they can just keep printing money.

We are, slowly, chipping away at improving the site with people contributing code revisions to the main Lemmy code repository and the UI Project.

I still believe the way in which Lemmy handles languages is not very user-friendly and confusing.

That depends on the, particular, situation. Using words like 'should', in your estimation here, shows that you've thrown the baby out with the bathwater. You haven't carefully thought through all of the possible scenarios.

Right now, Beehaw/Lemmy needs better moderation tools. That takes time/effort (possibly money) in order to build these.

EDIT:

So many people have experienced this on Reddit for example. What makes these platforms most successful, for ALL the users, is better moderation tools. Where Reddit failed in this regard, third party volunteers stepped in to create things like Toolbox. Lemmy platforms, such as Beehaw, need these tools available in the software itself.

I can, personally, attest to the incredible amount of attention that both @alyaza@beehaw.org and @Lionir@beehaw.org have given to Beehaw. They both have done mountains of work for this space.
