  • Yet another tech bro destroying an ecosystem?

It’s happening so much I think it’s like..

It’s the seeming circle of life: here, like a forest fire, it burns down some previous growth : giving new projects access to the sunlight so as to try to grow as fast as possible before the canopy closes up. Then, they too develop their own coked up bro, as an act of pollination giving more fire.

The older tech bro projects are still there, just trimmed back some after layoffs , never harming the core bros

  • One type of bomb, which was later given, while never stopping many other bombs. Those bombs previously on hold are used already by now in Gaza and Lebanon . ( edit county name because I flunked geography)

That was a token smoke screen, in June, to make a point in the USA , for one week of campaigning. thousands of different types of weapons and military gear were sent during this “hold”

  • Seems to me there has been many sponsored or wealthy who don’t mind getting a slap on the wrist, or suffer jail time after years of court. It seems to be a great way to advance careers and influence.

I’ve yet to see a regular person flouting such rules.

    The system may be broken

  • There are vast differences between the candidates on hundreds of issues, but each brings only death to people there .

One winner would be less crass about it, but her winning would make the issue go away for most of the USA population, since it’s not a campaign threat anymore . But if the other won, most would forget it also, because the county here would be in crisis .

So the next two or three weeks is the most people on social sites will care and write about it. Then, a decline of interest. That means even less political will to help.

  • It keeps happening in history: people using horror suffered in the past to give cover to their own crimes. Attacking others in the name of their own holy dead.

Sharing stories or pictures of a previous genocide to make others overlook a current genocide. Accusing others of being enemies to their religion and ethnicity when voices raise in protest.

Over a hundred times in the world, in the last few thousand years. It’s just particularly galling to me to see this, now, in my name.

  • At this point it will only cause more terror.

The one thing keeping Israel from stopping is complete invulnerability.

It would be good to want some people there to be as safe as possible . But more people would be safe, in the whole region, more overall would live, and be healthy and safe, if there were actual flaws in defense systems.

  • It’s designed to be anti-infuencer

When my own feed, free of the algorithm, did not have content of interest. Because I or others took turns shouting into the void. Then I would go on the explore /front page where there was definitely an algorithm of influencers, many who had follower counts of thousands, talking about the same stuff. Many seemed to be upper middle class Americans .

I soon hated them, but many were broadcast to other instances’ front page too. Between them and lack of interaction from people I wanted to hear from, I left

  • I know the term you are looking for, but probably the shooters are white Christian nationalists.

Which means they are definitely not political terrorists who are terrorizing .

But I could be wrong and these are terrorists. Who knows? Perhaps one is mixed race or stepped into a mosque within the last 20 years. Let’s keep an open mind

  • I’ve already written off most of the nyt by topics covered. There are still things i like but it’s like mining diamonds in Minecraft. I refuse to look at their front page these days due to Gaza, politics and other issues I have with them

That said , the nyt has been mostly garbage since my great great great grandfather’s generation, and it will continue to suck when grandchildren not born for decades will gripe about it

  • I’ve no idea how they hacked. But most likely the vulnerability was a mistake the vacuum cleaner manufacturer did, after using second tier software to “save costs”. And they probably skimped on paying the coders, if any

Most likely someone more sophisticated found the exploit, tried to get a bug bounty , was declined by the penny pinching company, and they posted to a place people like your comment inhabit.

If I’m right, this is only the start of problems with this cleaner, because it will happen over and over?

  • Space will be inevitably be dominated by corporations that are multinational. This is early days with a mix of government and private companies that are not so global.

It’s just how economics work. I think there will be a handful of companies later

  • Yes, Reagan once stopped Israel cold in a few minutes, with most of the time waiting to find people to talk.

Israel is completely dependent on the USA in several important ways. An American president can ride roughshod over military plans using several threats and actions, these are not illegal under USA law.

And, more subtlety, if the direct power play is considered unwarranted, the president can halt arms deliveries if the target nation is doing war crimes.

But political will at this time is a misnomer, this is up to only on one man, Biden.

Political will in congress will be muted no matter what the population feels. And this has nothing to do with individual Zionist leanings, although some are sincere in their support. But Israel has blackmailed many of our esteemed senators and congressmen due to their own mistakes. We, as a nation, really do not elect officials pure as the driven snow.

This is something remarked on for decades, since the 1950s. It’s a fact their spy service has more representatives per square foot of capital area than all other countries; although for some reason it’s slipped out of fashion to discuss it in the last few years

  • I live near the bottom, and I see a lot of anti Palestinian stuff, mostly pretending the Palestinians do not exist, with a random anti-Semitic accusation thrown it.

And it’s not just the democrats, I see this in many western nations. It’s a stain on many parties who speak many languages.

If the killings stopped today , this would be only a black mark against those involved. Something to get angry about by many. Accusing fingers could be pointed. Perhaps even reevaluation by some.

But we are only a quarter through the genocide. This will last months or years more. Many will be killed in the future. So this is an active crime scene. Those that will have fingers pointed at later are still doing harm now, and will do harm in the future.

Not just the high level politicians, but in all levels of each country. There is collective guilt , and that is not ended either
