  • any number of reasons, like avoiding discovery for any semi-related information they don't want public.

Plaintiffs in the lawsuit claimed that they were shown ads for Air Jordan shoes and Olive Garden after ‌Siri‌ recorded them speaking privately about those companies.

so basically this is just confirmation bias or frequency illusion with no actual evidence whatsoever. What are the odds that someone who talks about Jordans or Olive Garden is shown a targeted ad from literally any other data from their online presence? or even a complete coincidence entirely? Of course that's going to happen amongst the millions and millions of iPhone users on a day to day basis.

  • Just wait til you hear about "Dell Pro Max Plus".

  • the top level names are fine I guess, but all the sub tier names are too much.

  • it's not an issue if you use your own peripherals. I never use my LG's WebOS and never see any ads.

  • the parts are mostly already there anyway for image processing, perhaps upgraded slightly. I doubt it's a significant cost.

  • idunno, to me the heavy reliance on platforming and metroidvania-style traversal far outweighs any superficial RPG elements in those games. I just get annoyed rather than immersed in the game.

  • or, we could NOT predefine roles for people based on sex, and let individuals make decisions for themselves. Maybe not everyone is the same, imagine that!

  • KOTOR. just existing in a Star Wars world and becoming a Jedi. really have no idea why we can't have another Jedi RPG, do you not like money Disney?

  • it's really hard to say. for some people it's quick, for others it can take months, especially if your symptoms overlap with other disorders like depression or autism or anything else. really just depends on your specific case and probably also your doctor.

  • once in a while there are rumors. absolutely not "always".

  • there are specific rumors causing it that the article goes into. not saying it's real, but it's also not just gamers being bored.

  • agreed. online tracking is so good it just seems like they're listening to you.

  • externalizing costs. vehicle maintenance, insurance, wages... it's all a ruse to get anyone else to pay their overheads without realizing it.

  • makes sense, premature births tend to have a higher incidence of psychological disorders which correlates with higher risk of suicide.
