  • I mean, the place is bad enough without resorting to conspiracy theories based on blurry ass photos.

  • That's a whole lotta words to say you don't know how to set up Jellyfin correctly.

My whole family loves it, they use it across quite a few different devices, and they enjoy the fact that they can get anything they want using Jellyseer. And since I'm not some paranoid nutter that thinks having my services exposed to the web is going to be the end of my life, they also enjoy the unified account experience that the LDAP server provides them, where they can manage their SSO password and 2FA from an easy-to-use web interface that in turn allows them to access all the other services on the server, and from any device anywhere in the world without needing to do stupid stuff like upgrade their router for Tailscale.

  • It's obvious that those studies did not take place in the United States, because it's historical fact that none of the rights Americans have were ever achieved through peaceful protest.

  • Sure, maybe if that instance is hosted in that specific country. But an instance outside of it doesn't have to do shit. What is Turkey gonna do if they don't like something I post? Come arrest me? Fucking let 'em try.

  • OK, so let them block you. What the fuck is that gonna do? A country wants to get pissy, let them get pissy. And while they're getting pissy, give the people who live there directions on how to get a VPN and bypass their government and its laws.

  • Nothing was ever accomplished with peaceful protest, especially not protest that’s sanctioned and scheduled by the authorities.

But I wouldn’t expect a liberal to acknowledge that. Leftists get in the streets, liberals stay in the tweets. You question Trumps methods, but not his power, because once he’s gone, whatever corporate-owned millionaire you appoint will need that power when it comes time to put the boot on the necks of anti-genocide or civil rights protesters.

    You’re just diet fascism.

  • So what exactly are you doing to help, then? Holding signs up at your weekly protests that are authorized by the police? It's easy to criticize people when you aren't doing shit yourself.

  • I don’t think my IP has ever actually changed, and I never asked for a static one. But that doesn’t really matter, because these days it’s a small matter to dynamically update the IP.

  • That's also not what they said. They said there's no successful second app store that isn't tied to hardware, which is true. F-Droid exists, but by no metric would it be considered seriously by anyone as a successful competitor to Google. And if there is somebody who thinks that, then you should give me their number, I have this investment idea that is guaranteed to give double or even triple returns, all I need is a seed investment of, say, $20k.

  • That's the argument you decided to go with? Really?

Yeah, it's not a problem in the same way that you having a cohesive thought happen to wander through your barren mind is not a problem.

  • If you don’t like it, don’t buy it.

I won't, because it isn't a thing and never will be.

  • Idk, but it said LEDs on the sticker

  • You can get cheap switches with very dim LED lights inside the switch itself. You can’t see the LED glow when it’s daytime, but at night they are just bright enough to tell you where the switch is at.

  • Not Android specifically, I’m talking mobile games in general. I’m on iOS, and it’s not any better here. Mobile games are usually free for a reason, and that reason is that they are loaded with spyware, ads, and shitty monetization practices that I very highly doubt the majority of PC gamers on Windows, Linux, or MacOS would like to see become more prevalent on their platform.

And I while I don’t think Valve is some benevolent corporate overlord that’s looking out for what’s best for us, I do think they know how to extract a lot of value out of PC gamers for many years, and that’s by generally giving us what we want.

  • Yes, I imagine you don't. Which is probably why you asked the question in the first place.

  • Trump can do whatever the fuck he wants, because nobody is actually doing anything to stop him other than meekly posting on social media and waving some signs around. Democracy and the rule of law was always sketchy at best in the US, but it's been dead for months now. And no amount of adorable weekend protests that are sanctioned by the cops are gonna change that.

If you aren't getting tear gassed, shot at, and imprisoned, you're being allowed to throw a tantrum to keep you from doing anything useful, and your actions are performative at best.
