  • unfortunately people won't answer past "what game did you grow up with?"

I think the most recognizable game was the most culturally impactful so my vote is for SMB, even SM64 completely changed gaming

(not a Nintendo or Mario fan btw)

  • my siblings and I call each other then most derogatory nicknames we for each other since we used to argue and fight a lot growing up unless shit is serious. then it's "hey (actual name)"

my home life wasn't super stable so I wonder how many families have this kind of sibling relationship

  • I interpreted it more as the eldest daughter had grown so much personally from the hardship of raising her siblings that the parent's parenting skills in comparison is so outclassed that the child could be their parent (or something like that it's midnight and I'm tired)

  • this is something I didn't expect would bother me until it did

growing up I thought "part time" hours meant you could just pick a set of hours and work but that's "contract work" instead (don't get me started on time sheets)

and so for full time in thought you get to pick your days or schedule or any, nope, all HR and company policy.

I'd work 4x10s if I could and have a nicer and longer weekend if I could

  • maybe this wording works on a certain kind of voter because of the "fuck you I got mine" attitude, they probably think that if they were the scientist they would reap the benefits for themselves

  • Suit psychology is so different from tech workers. they don't understand why tech workers don't want to live stream their private working area and tech workers don't understand why suits are obsessed with looking at people in meetings
