No they wouldn't, it would, at most, be a deadlock between the three parties that the House would decide on. One would hope they would go with the one with the most votes, but in reality they can pick anyone. Including someone who wasn't even one of the top three candidates.

Not to mention all the people who want a "third party" aren't necessarily going to vote for the same third party. They all want their own person. Most likely none of them would get anywhere near the majority popular vote, much less any electoral votes.

A way of saying some things are not games or forgivable

Whats the point of saying that if its not meant as a deterrent? Who are we telling this to? Is it all to show upstanding citizens that "look, we're the good guys, we're killing the bad guys!"?

Is that really worth peoples lives, especially with the chance that those people aren't actually bad guys?

The entire point of our system is that we don't have a singular person with absolute power. The reason the Trump administration was able to take the actions it did wasn't due to just Trump. It was also due to actions taken by congress and the judiciary.

This one office can only do so much, you need to vote in that election in addition to every other election you're able to. And it won't be a quick turnaround. Expecting magic to happen two seconds after stepping out of the voting booth once every four years is naive and getting petulant when it doesn't happen is dangerous.

If my only point was to learn what DEI was, sure. But that doesn't help with the next acronym. Or the next one. Or the next one. Ad nauseum.

My problem is with the trend of people just using an acronym with no definition, it means you are not making a coherent argument that can be understood by people not already invested in it. It, in and of itself, is little better than a rant to an audience that's already made up its mind.

It would be nice if at least once a page someone fucking explains an acronym. It's a little more understandable when you can infer a meaning through context, but when the context is that people are using it as the new woke bogeyman it gives zero clue as to what it even is.

Populism and fearmongering, mostly.

Because taking them to task implies that supporting them for the last seventy years might have been a mistake.
