  • Yeah just like Microsoft Recall right? An AI that has access to every single thing you do (and would also be recording, otherwise how does it know "you") can never be private by design. Its literal design is to know everything about you, your actions, and your habits. I wouldn't trust anyone to be able to create an actually secure piece of software that does the above. It will always be able to be stolen/sold/abused.

  • You have no idea whats thrown at you in the moment, and you think its okay to just let someone do that to you? Agreed, punching someone in the face sounds like an overreaction, but I know my reaction to having shit thrown at me would be to immediately make sure it doesn't happen again.

  • They're only using Google maps because volunteers like you keep it up to date. Slack on Google and only help out OSM, an eventually the people will come.

  • Yall didn't just put a towel on the seats?

  • Youre also more likely to replace it after its "expired"

  • Well fuck. I share a lot of those autistic traits and only a few of the ADHD ones. Would focusing on a medical diagnosis for ADHD still help if thats the case

  • Doscord friends! You can make quite a few friend groups to play games with that way. I've got a group where we are either playing DnD, or were finding the next coolest game for us all to enjoy.

  • With David Tennant as the Doctor right? I never watched much Dr Who but yet I can very much remember the last human.

  • Watching the series many times doesn't mean they've watched the newest season many times. I myself have watched all od it many times over, minus the newest season which I wasn't a fan of.

  • When this was posted years ago it was posted without music and you could just hear the guys having fun. Don't know why people think they need to add music.

  • this is real lol

  • Were in lemmy shit post... sooo

  • Thats cause the top one is a 26. We also have a nasty habit of changing named roads to numbered if looking at it from gmaps.

  • I completely got rid of my pc thanks to this haha. I mean its my media device, I play all my games, I even do dnd from it! With my Wacom its perfect for design/drawing all that fun stuff.

I understand there are a few use cases that don't work great on the deck, but personally... Its the best. My deck is getting a little old now, the control sticks are starting to wear out, and yet it still runs just as well as day 1. I will be buying a "replacement" soon, and likely will be able to still sell my old one for 100$ or so.

  • Doesn't sound all too wild to me, except the keeping the deck on for extended periods of time... Definitely a good idea to restart it more than once a week... Hell, im very confident I have to power cycle it enough that I won't make it to a week without a restart lol.

I am constantly switching between desktop and gaming mode, and I like to power cycle it occasionally when doing so. Primarily to prevent any bugs from popping up

  • I use a Jsaux dock for the deck, all of my peripherals have been plug and play. Including my 5+ year old Wacom which blew my mind. (It worked right out of the box where Windows didn't let me properly configure it... I felt like a schoolkid!)

Anyway, I say this cause I wonder if there was an issue with the dock, or if you just use oddball peripherals.

  • So give up is your solution then... Cool, hopefully you're in a safe place!
