Germany officially specified it for documents for a while but that was amended to also allow for dd.mm.yyyy since not enough people actually used ISO 8601.
Caps lock is a key I never want to touch but dead keys (for combining characters) are what one uses for accents (but not umlaute) in the German QWERTZ too.
No the brain does funky stuff mixing the pictures together. If I move something close enough to my face it appears in view twice seemingly semi-transparent. The rest of my visual perception remains unaffected though.
Are you also constantly aware of your blind spot(s)? (Something that with the single image is completely invisible)
I did think of that scene fist which is why I was surprised that it was considered the one with the least sexual themes. That's how I first found out spanking could be a sexual thing.
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy might be good too (at least the six episode TV series that just feels like a long film). I also think it's a little more appropriate.
Yeah all I can do is make my vision blurry, but I can't consciously adjust the distance at which I place my focus, it's just where I look. I was surprised by the fact that my eyes looked the same too.

I assume it's the way I think of 3d objects which is that I have some sort feeling of its shape and the distance of a point to one of its surfaces. So just something that doesn't mimic a standard sense.
I still have the voice (and the music…) just no pictures, except when I'm really tired and it's dark. It's funny because a friend of mine has the exact opposite (pictures but no voice).
