"Unsustainable Society" No matter your opinion on current governments, humanity has been around for an awful long time, and it will likely continue to be around for significantly longer into the future of the universe. In my opinion, that's pretty cool.

In the grand scheme of things, just looking back over the past couple hundred years, the vast majority of humanity is in a better spot than we were, no matter how bad things may seem on a small time scale.

Why are you of that opinion? Something like 30% of Japan's population is over 65. Low birth rates are obviously not sustainable for them and will have extreme issues for their country if it continues.

I 100% agree with you, I actually don't think parents should be legally allowed to homeschool unless they get a real teaching education themselves

But this doesn't sound like that. This sounds like a model that is using external tools made by humans like Khan Academy to actually do the teaching and just uses the AI model to process how well the person doing the course is understanding it.

I would be willing to bet serious money that a kid in this program would get a better education than a homeschooler, Because exactly like your earlier point, the vast majority of homeschool parents that teach their kids are fucking morons and only have their kids homeschooled because they're fucking morons.

Thankfully, because of the way Lemmy is built, we will forever have smaller communities that don't turn into garbage like that.

Hell ya! I'm the same way with TF2. There just aren't any newer games that I think come close at all to being as good as the original. I'll gladly keep sinking ~400 hours a year into a game released in 2007 as long as I have the time and other people continue to play the game aswell

99% of my playtime in the 2023 year In review was TF2, and I'm sure it will be the same in 2024. I am a patentint gamer because I only play the original and BEST team shooter game.

I believe you just need the smartThings app to track the tags, which is available to all Android devices. You could use GrapheneOS on a pixel and still use your trackers if you want.

I just switched to GraoheneOS and love it! All my financial apps worked out of the box.

Preach! I just finished a long DIY remodel and running ethernet to everyroom was less than a $100 in cable and connectors. Obviously it was easier and cheaper for me because I already had a lot of the drywall down.

Valve dosnt really "own" SteamOS. They maintain and update SteamOS, but SteamOS is free and open source
