A+ cat

  • They're good cats, bront.

  • Very cool paper bag but this is a community for cats.

  • Depends on where you are talking about

Well, this is a community about U.S. politics and I’m replying to an article about Texas and specifically mentioned the GOP. Those are some pretty clear context clues.

  • And then of course beginning in 1945 the ratlines assured the freedom of many nazi war criminals in Argentina. There are plenty of reasons for Trump to like Argentina during the first half of the 20th century.

  • Former US President Donald Trump congratulated Mr Milei on his victory, saying he would “Make Argentina Great Again!”.

I'd love to see where Trump thinks Argentina is on a map.

  • The first time he served McDonalds at the White House was because Trump caused the longest government shutdown in US history after Congress refused to give him $5 billion for his stupid wall. That was well before the pandemic.

  • The mods hate sticks. They are stick-bigots.

  • It's interesting that modern drag shows have been a thing for one hundred years without too much pearl clutching from conservatives until 2022. Gee, it's as if this is a wholly manufactured issue by the GOP to get their bigoted base riled up.

  • I really wish people would stop whining in the comment sections every time they see an article about Elon Musk and take some initiative to solve their own problems. Open uBlock Origin and add a damn filter. Adjust to your home instance:

             lemmy.world##div.post-listing:has(span:has-text("/elon musk/i"))

div.post-listing is the element to block
:has(args) returns elements where args evaluate to true
span is the element with the title text
:has-text(needle) returns the element if it has the next needle, supports regex with \needle\ and remove case sensitivity with i

Edit: lol of course this was instantly downvoted. Because these kinds of people don't actually want Elon Musk out of their feeds, they just want to complain.

  • The face shopped into the photo belongs to the lead singer of an American metal band called Disturbed and "down with the Swiss Miss" is just a play on one of their most popular songs, "Down with the Sickness." The title of my post is also meant to imitate his scatting vocal style in the song.
