  • As someone that likes to do a lot of scrolling, I'm also running into the same problem. There really just isn't enough content here for it yet. There's already a pretty small over all amount of users posting, and people have likes and dislikes and tastes and vibes, so out of that small amount, there's only so much to interact with. Like, there's a fair amount of content in ask and chat style communities and TV communities but no one likes everything or thinks the same topics are interesting.

So it really just needs more. So that there's more of the same types of people watching the same shows and interested in the same topics. It doesn't have to be packed in here, it could just do with a little more of something for everyone. It would've been nice if there were more than two people discussing Harley Quinn season 5 for example.

On Reddit I could spend all day every day interacting with my particular interests without ever feeling like I'm being a nuisance or repeating myself. It's nice having a smaller crowd but I'd like something between this and Reddit.

  • Just finished Metroid Fusion earlier, started Metroid Zero Mission. Replaying both. Probably going to get to the GBA Castlevania games soon as well.

Although I'm starting to get an itch for a Phantasy Star run again so by this time next week I'll probably be busy with that. Thinking of going straight to Phantasy Star 3 this time. I've played PS1 the most by far and PS2 multiple times as well but I've only fully completed PS3 once so far.

  • Whichever animal I'm currently looking at.

  • It would probably end up sounding the same or similar because it would be years worth of clubs and live music and band practise and listening to music in my earphones too loud all jumbled up together and playing at the same time.

  • Yeah I guess there's two different categories of sci-fi in this regard. Personally, I think stuff that's as far ahead in the future as Star Trek is pretty close to fantasy. But then there's also the Philip K. Dick style near future dystopian sci-fi that serves more as a warning about the future we're headed to (or instruction manual if you're a techbro CEO).

Fantasy is probably the same actually. I usually think happy thoughts if I think about fantasy as a genre but then there's also stuff like Game of Thrones.

  • Omg twinsies except for the doing well and having a good life part.

  • Daydreamer that dreamt themself out of a functional life. Not just a late bloomer but still a sprout. A hopeful idealistic child in the body of a jaded misanthropic adult. I dance to a tune playing in my earphones where only I can hear it most of the time, unless someone is close enough.

  • I feel like maybe some more context I could add is that we have "tomato sauce" that's pretty similar to ketchup. Comes in a bottle to pour from and is one of the most regularly used sauces. Still processed I guess but thicker and better tasting and definitely not as sweet as the American stuff. As opposed to tomato paste or tinned tomato or whatever.

  • I think that is kinda true. Like, American brands that sell here are branded as "Heinz Ketchup" for example. And it's definitely more processed or whatever. But I feel like most people would still say "pass the tomato sauce", or if they say ketchup it's in a joking way. I couldn't speak for my whole country though.

  • One thing I'm starting to find though is that the yellow emojis are maybe looking a little too much like Reddit style awards at first glance, or at least making me think of them. Might look for purple alternatives or something else that looks a bit more toned down along with a dark theme.

I like your idea. Seems like a good way to be reminded of something random and get a laugh while you're scrolling.

  • Phones have become boring and are all the same. I want options like we had with Nokia back in the day. So a music phone, gaming phone, business phone etc. but with a modern OS. All we have now are camera phones. Google announcing that they've added a second possible function to The Button in settings just doesn't excite me. Smartphones have become shit and it's not because we've perfected them or some shit, it's because chasing lines on marketing graphs and playing follow the leader has resulted in no choice anymore and everything being lowest common denominator, mass produced slop.

  • I didn't even know that "catsup" was an option until now. Where I'm from, we call it "tomato sauce" and "ketchup" is the American word as far as I've ever known.

  • If they all used it at the same time, there's a possibility that it would result in 5 different alternate realities, one where each of those countries has achieved their goals. Maybe 6 different alternate realities, including the original.

  • Young Justice rocks. I love the stuff that showcases a little bit of everything in the universe.

Currently distracting myself with a rewatch of Batman Brave and the Bold while eating and stuff. If you're ever in the mood for something funnier, would recommend. Even if you're sick of Batman, this is a fun version that's friends with everyone and isn't an asshole. And there's appearances from everyone from Kamandi the last boy to Doom Patrol.

Personally I'm looking forward to that same kind of idea where everything exists in the same universe from Gunn's take on things. And hopefully not counting my chickens before they hatch. But I get the idea that's what he's going to go for.

As far as Marvel goes, I'm more of an X-Men fan than anything else personally, so I'm really hoping there's going to be an X-Men '98 and '99. Not particularly looking forward to MCU X-Men but maybe I'll be entertained.

  • Holy crap I'm not sure I've seen that before! Just watched a clip on YouTube and I don't remember it honestly, even though I've seen this show multiple times by now at friends' houses over the years. That's hilarious and looks like there's a missing episode I haven't seen that I need to watch properly.

  • lovely horse

Completely unrelated but your title made me think of this scene from Father Ted (YouTube). Although watching this now again years later, it might be more odd than funny if you're not familiar with the show.

  • Thinking about the USA right now too much doesn't lead to any good sleep for me at all right now. Because there's bad things happening to good people there. I feel awful for the actual decent people that share a country with cruel and dogmatic clowns. People who probably live next door to someone who voted to ensure their rights get taken away and their lives become even more miserable.

I honestly struggle to come to terms with the fact so many people are still so cruel and backwards. It's not the stupidity that's the main problem, it's the malicious intent and desire to turn everyone into a goose stepping clone. And how easily people are turned into goose stepping clones. Conned by reality stars and drug addicted tech bros, what a joke. I think it's part stupidity and part the fact that these people really are just malicious assholes, so they could've been convinced into this by a talking toilet brush mascot.

I feel sorry for the intelligent and empathic, and the people who dare to live lives that are true to themselves without dogma who have to live in a country with the stupid and selfish, and the people who want to impose their narrow minded puritanical views onto everyone else with force and cruelty.

I'll be sleeping like a baby when the goose stepping clowns are all dying of some easily preventable disease that they could've vaccinated for but right now there's nothing comforting about what's going on there.
