When I get those, it's usually the tracking protection settings in Firefox. If they consider that an adblocker their shit is stacked really high and you should leave the site.
Of course there are exceptions. I also like doing what I do, both as a hobby and in my job. But the point is that this can be really dangerous as it can take the fun out of a hobby for a lot of people if you have to do it.
Would I have been less ambitious I might have become a cook. I like cooking. But imagining that I would have to do it 8 hours a day, 40 a week for years and years, possibly with overtime, and – depending on where I am – in a hectic environment due to time pressure doesn't sound so appealing to me. Nah, the casual cooking at home where no one really expects a certain degree of quality / a certain product or where I can be as creative or as lazy as I want and can take all the time I need is much better.
I feel like a lot of users won't use edge because of spite.
It's intrusive and manipulative stuff like this which has angered a lot of people.
Admittedly, this is one of the more harmless reactions.

Less readers -> less sharing -> less revenue generated by those who allow ads.
Although this is just a speculative idea I have. I wonder whether there are numbers on this.
