I mean, yes in so far that it opens those options up to people who may not have been able to afford it before. Whether that's a 'need' or not depends on your opinion of the company I guess.
Also there are other applications beyond this, of course. Easily made videos could help reduce the costs associated with treating some mental health issues for example.
The you have the ability for novice film makers to make content, a bit like how engines like Unity have made it easier for people to make games. Sure there'll be shit-tier tat, but there'll also be content made by creators that may never have had the chance otherwise.
I mean, the ability to generate whatever video you want without having to pay the costs normally associated with filming, location, actors etc is going to be very appealing to people like advertisers. This way you can have a few seconds of a beach for your travel company advert, for example, without having to pay for the stock footage or film it yourself. In fact I can see this transforming stock footage in general. Why bother to pay someone to make a generic video of 'people having a meeting' when an AI can do it for free in half the time. Doesn't even need to be that good if you're only using it briefly in a presentation. Not saying any of this is a good thing, but here we are..
Good thing we're not just 'starting' with carbon capture first, and that it's part of a wide ranging series of solutions, including solar, wind etc all of which contribute positively to climate change mitigation. Indeed, it's a good thing we can achieve more than one solution at once, isn't it?
This is more likely evidence of the lack of awareness people have of data like this, rather than a disinterest in the topic. Just because it's readily available, doesn't mean people know about it. Also, don't confuse a lack of interest in viewing data on air quality as a lack of interest in air quality itself. Those are not the same thing.
Yeah they've come a long way but it still looks weirdly cartoony sometimes, like something you'd find on a kids tablet or something. I just install Nova Launcher or Niagara Launcher and that way you only have to interact with the menus, which aren't too bad IMHO.
I have the PD non wireless stick on car mount and can confirm it's expensive for what it is, but it does look and feel premium. Holds my S23u well, to.
For me it was how seriously Eternal took itself. Doom 2016 had a story but Doom guy didn't care and was just there to kill demons. It was a running joke how little he gave a shit. Then suddenly in Eternal he can talk, was some kind of Chosen one and there's this grandiose story with Heaven etc and it's all way too up itself. I just want to shoot Demons. That's it. Don't try and make it more than it needs to be.
I'd rather 'little contribution' than none at all. I'd rather 'every couple of clicks' than none at all. It's not perfect, but it's better than the major alternatives.
Agreed. I think better battery tech will allow for lighter EVs, but even so at the very least we need vehicle manufacturers to expand their EV range beyond massive SUVs and Sedans, to include more reasonably sized hatch backs etc.
You're right; however. Public transport is shocking where I live, and is in dire need of improvement.
Good, it was a stupid idea in the first place, tbh.
