  • By optics you mean humanitarianism? I feel foe the plight of the Palestinian people, but hamas are terrorists and all of them should be locked up for life in a prison. They have no place in human society. That goes for anyone committing crimes against humanity, anywhere.

  • Perhaps she perfectly reflects her district.

  • The Fediverse just gives a path, it doesn't restrict the paths. Anyone can make or join any community.

  • The entire nation regrets that decision.

  • Slavery 3000 years ago wasn't quite the same as modern concepts would be viewed, but in the context of treatment, yes.

In Col 4:1, Paul advises members of the church, who are slave masters, to "treat your slaves justly and fairly, realizing that you too have a Master in heaven."

Slaves of that era could buy their freedom and they did earn coin through second jobs. Treating slaves badly was never wise, slaves typically outnumbered the owners and were far more skilled and educated until the Roman era.

  • No, the 3% of the left that are Progressives won't.

  • IDF are are uniformed military trained in defense. Nothing like hamas terrorists.

  • Hillary lost because she couldn't read the writing on the wall and told everyone she deserved to win because it was her time. She was the worst person on the planet to go against Trump. The GOP spent 30 years demonizing her and she played right into their hands. Biden should have been the candidate then but that is hindsight.

  • Morality tales, there is a lot to learn from the Bible, just ignore the religious magic parts. It does examine human society during the bronze and iron ages.

  • People worry because Trump has stated he intends to be a Dictator for life.

  • That one especially is out of date, written in 1450 BCE, nearly 3500 years ago. You had Moses running around the desert, the Greeks were importing copper and tin as it was peak bronze age for them (still 150 years before Northern Europe) and created a standard for weights for commerce. Letter writing had not even started, but early human writing was being taught in Greece. The first trading cogs were being used. But most importantly, they didn't even have a concept of weather or climate for a thousand more years in 340 BCE. (Note: 3000 BCE Upanishads in India discovered that weather had predictable seasons).

Overall, the Bible shouldn't be used in context for climatology.

  • That wasn't the case, the Mexican government was run as an oligarchy. The United States threat was to threaten to turn over their lands to the public.

  • The read modlog, all actions are made public.

  • I personally think both the Palestinian and Israeli governments should be dissolved. I believe both sides are completely in the wrong.

  • That was a really good one. I absolutely agree that breaking things back up online would be so much more helpful to society. Smaller communities online were far better.

  • She ignores those chapters and cherry picks the ones that agree with her oppressive views.

  • It always was funded by the GOP to pull votes away from Biden.
