Honestly this is kinda good press IMO. When the people who actively do have something to hide are using a given privacy tool, that tool probably works.

There are some attacks you are vulnerable to on public WiFi that a VPN can help with.

More generally, whoever is transporting your data knows who you are talking to. If you don’t use a VPN, your ISP and whoever owns the router know what websites you are visiting (although they don’t know the specific content). If you use a VPN, your ISP and router know you are using that VPN, but not what websites you are visiting. Now your VPN knows what websites you are visiting, but they still don’t know what the content is.

Heat dissipation has been the bottleneck for a long time now.

I enjoyed Overwatch. League of Legends always feels awful to play. Deadlock feels way more like League of Legends than Overwatch to me.

You can still make stupid mistakes in Rust. It may make it harder to make the most common mistakes, but pretending the guardrails are prevent any type of mistake is asking for a problem to happen.

IMO edge coming pre-installed isn’t a big deal. But I’d like to be able to uninstall edge and not have Windows periodically try to trick me into setting edge as my default browser again.

Any secret sauce Nvidia uses would be in taking shortcuts to capture the screen and send it directly to the encoding timeline. The time it takes to do this without any secret sauce is negligible compared to the two slowest processes in the pipeline: video encoding and sending the data over the internet.

Sunshine is actually often more performant than Nvidia due to improvements in the slower parts of the pipeline.

I have a 4k120hz gaming monitor and I have some HDMI cables that don’t support that quality.

I also just use DisplayPort because it’s better anyway (e.g. lower latency).

It needs a movement to get more signature. If you believe in it and are in Europe, go encourage your friends to vote. Gather some friends and make signs. Buy ads.

I don’t even see a bear in that video. It’s not clear there’s anything besides trees. It’s just a big dark blob.

It may have originally had DRM but it doesn’t now.
