  • But protest voting against Harris is the answer, don't you see? It's so obvious. Sure, more Palestinians will die, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make, so I can be an edgy social-media radical! Do you even means of production, bro?

  • Is Megan being sued for negligent parenting, not getting her child and/or being appropriate emotional support, and keeping an unsecured firearm in the home?

She details that she as aware of his growing dependency on the AI. She indicates she was aware her son knew the location of the firearm and was able to access it. She said it was compliant with Florida laws, but that seems unlikely since guns and ammo need to be stored in separate, secure (typically locked) locations, and the firearms need to have trigger locks on them. If you're admitting your mentally unstable child knows the location of a firearm in your home and can access it, it is OBVIOUSLY not secured.

She seems to be saying that she knew he could access it, but also that it was legally secured. I find it difficult to believe both of those facts can be simultaneously true. But AI is the main problem here? I think it's obviously part of what's going on, but she had a child with mental illness and didn't seem proactive about much except this lawsuit. She got him a month of therapy and then stopped while simultaneously acknowledging he was getting worse and had received a diagnosis. This legal filing frankly seems more damning of the mother than the AI, and she seems completely oblivious to that fact.

Frankly, and at best, this seems like an ambulance-chasing attorney taking advantage of a grieving mother for a payday.

  • I'm not talking about proper application here, and I'm not talking about when people label Trump a fascist, which is clearly and obviously warranted as I noted, but I'm not going to sit here and bicker with you about it. It's very obvious that almost anyone and anything will be labeled "fascist" by some people on the left -- and people on the right, frankly. It's overused. It's used by some as a blanket insult for someone or something they disagree with.

And I'm pretty sure you know that, and are just defending those that you feel use it appropriately, and I'm here for that.

  • It does, in fact, stick to him. It just doesn't matter. I think the hard thing for people on the left to understand is that for roughly half the country, fascism isn't a bad thing. People scream "fascism" like it's the ultimate insult.

First of all, it's so overused by hyperventilating gaming-chair leftists that it's lost its rhetorical effect, and second of all, accusing someone who wants an authoritarian leader to take power and enact violent vengeance on half the country is, literally, a fascist. They want fascism. You're just calling them by their name.

And since there appears to be, at best, as many of them as us -- both in the general population and in the political establishment -- it doesn't really do anything. The fact is, fascism is here, it's not going anywhere in the near future, and, to paraphrase the famous quote, one third of this county wants to kill a different third of this country, and the final third is content to watch.

It's like calling a white supremacist a racist and expecting them to get mad or have their feelings hurt.

  • He was saying there's reason to believe they thought this would be a high profile, non-violent action that would get them attention as well as arrested. I.e., that the arrest and attention were the primary motivations moreso than a political one. It was just a standard, blue USPS post box, not a specific county ballot box (those actually have fire suppression for this reason), so it seems reasonable that this person is just an unstable idiot, not a politically motivated unstable idiot.

He was previously arrested for just showing up to a work site, assumed homeless, and sitting there, and then trying to take an officers gun "because he 'wanted it' and 'because it’s cool.'" He was then restrained with duct tape. Lol

Who knows, it's dumb and he was arrested though, which is good.

  • The one where major polling aggregators have shown her chances of winning slowly slipping for about a month. Nate Silver's model now shows Trump's probability of winning about 8% higher than Harris. See the blue line slowly going down, crossing beneath the red line? Blue line go down = bad. Which world do you live in?

  • What are you even talking about? Yes, Biden led in the popular vote by seven million, by over 4%. He actually win, i.e. in the EC, by about 80,000 votes. Harris is currently polling significantly worse than Biden across both categories.

  • Trump spin-doctors are specifically referencing that democrats are going to release an "AI-generated" piece of media. I'm assuming that means they're worried something might be released soon. That's it, I'm not putting anything in a "hole," I'm just waiting to see what they're trying to get in front of.

  • Perhaps explains his seemingly defeated attitude recently. His canceling of multiple events. His comment at yesterday's rally...

Trump: I realized our time is coming to an end. In many ways it’s sad. I’ve been doing this for 9 years.
