  • I'm talking about the video you linked? And I'm talking about the NYT photographer that captured an image of Trump's bloody palm after grabbing his ear seconds before the person with the holster gets there? Which is also shown in the video? That you linked? Look at you, denying reality to cling to your theory, even when it's literally in the link you yourself provided.

  • It's relevant because the video literally shows the Doug Mills photograph capturing Trump's blood-smeared hand immediately after he grabbed his ear, just before being tackled. So, your "logic" entails time travel, a vast conspiracy involving a NYT photographer, a hyper-accurate sniper, and fake-blood capsules—or all of the above—to explain it as the result of a holster alone.

Unless you’re inclined to believe the conspiracy theory promoted by the video—which appears to be the case, given that you're attributing the injury to an unseen holster rather than the bullet (also photographed) or bullet-related shrapnel—it would be "just logical" to trust the direct photographic evidence over a random YouTube conspiracy theory.

This is precisely how disinformation spreads. And, like many who propagate it, you don't even realize you’re doing it.

  • It can PULL more. It just can't handle much for vertical load. This is true of all Teslas. They are all aluminum frames. This is specifically for things like a cargo or bike rack. The leverage becomes greater every mm away from the hitch the weight is. There's some question of what a stress test would show. But the problem is there's no standard distance for those type of racks from the hitch.

Imagine a 10 foot steel bar in the hitch, and you hopped up and down on the end of it. If you weigh 200 pounds, you're applying roughly 2,000 pounds of effective vertical weight on the hitch. If you do it again only two feet from the hitch, it's 400 pounds effective vertical weight. What is the actual upper limit of effective vertical weight for a tesla hitch? Likely much more than 160 pounds. But that's what is put in the manual because they don't want to warranty the hitch because of the composition of the frame.

The real issue is that the hitch is attached to the frame, and the frame is aluminum. So it's not the case where you might bend the frame and could then have it bent back to good working order. If you put too much weight on a Tesla hitch, the frame itself will simply fracture.

  • Trump didn't actively prevent the national guard from being deployed. It's kind of a convoluted mess as to what happened, and you're welcome to read through the various analysis of communication breakdowns and bureaucratic hurdles, but all investigations indicate Trump didn't prevent deployment. He also didn't, you know, deploy them, which he was authorized to do. So.

  • Uh, DC can deploy the national guard. You don't have a governor, so, you know, the president of the united states is authorized to deploy them.

The DC mayor can also request they be deployed, but it needs to be approved by the fed.

  • It's not like a lecture. It's a pep rally. Energy rally. To rally is to come together for a common cause. It's meant to bring people together to boost and sustain energy, in this case about a candidate or party. You're not going there to learn things.

  • And removing the filibuster will serve the christo-fascist agenda just as well as anything else. You can try to hand-wave it away and act like I'm pointing this out for the "sound bites" (?), but it's simply a fact. Perhaps you should look around. Half the country fully supports those christo-fascists, and they seem a lot more armed, a lot more organized, a lot more politically entrenched, and a lot more strategic. You're right, they will probably remove the filibuster when they get in power, and you'll get your wish.

  • We don't have countermeasures for a nuclear assault from Russia. Don't be absurd. GMD, THAAD, and ABMD aren't designed as full countermeasures. They're designed to protect nuclear assets and command and control centers long enough to launch a return strike. You're fooling yourself if you think we can stop a Russian nuclear attack. Our main and only real countermeasure is the same as it's been for 60+ years: MAD and other forms of deterrence.

  • This is typical conspiracy theory crap. The entire thing is based entirely on the idea that Doug Mills faked not one but three separate photographs: 1) the bullet mid-flight, 2) the photo with blood on his hand before he goes down, and 3) the one with blood on his face while he's down.

I highly doubt Mills faked three photographs to conspire with a shooter so accurate he was able to precisely miss in order to facilitate this bizarre theory. The dude even puts the Mills' photos in his video and basically does a "fake? I'm just asking questions. Do your own research."

How this kind of crap gets and holds people's attention is beyond me. But believe what you want, it doesn't really matter one way or the other.

  • Avoid and mitigate fumes. Buy a jug of D-Lead hand soap and laundry detergent and use it. Get regular blood tests for lead levels.

If you have or are regularly around small children, you need to be extremely diligent about the above. That goes for all you idiots obsessed with guns as well. Primers use lead styphnate and create lead vapor everytime you fire. Worse with rifles because your face/body is closer to the expelled gases. Aside from breathing it in, you're also getting a nice patina of lead residue on your arms, shirt, face, hair, etc. You're also likely tracking in lead residue from your shoes into your home. If you like to hug your kids or your kids play on the floor, guess what.

Do NOT fuck with lead. There's no safe level of exposure, and it can be devastating to the developing brains of children.

  • My point is that removing the filibuster means that the minority party, which will inevitably include the democrats, have a much harder time doing anything to stop the majority. That may seem great when you're imagining Obama, Biden, or Harris. But when it's Trump and whoever follows him, your desire to give the party in power even more power might seem less ideal. That's a lesson the democrats learned the hard way when they opened the door to removing the filibuster. They got some cabinet positions. Republicans took the supreme court. Play stupid games...

You can dither about the structure of the senate and it's equality-of-states construction, but that is what was intended when it was created. What you seem to actually want is to abolish the concept of senate itself.
