  • The Jews are both so brutal and strong that they purposely aim at children in hospitals and so pathetically weak that none of those children died.

That's exactly right. Shoot to maim, cripple the hospital infrastructure to prevent aid, anaesthetics, water etc. To be provided so that they suffer the most gruesome pain as doctors struggle to treat them.

You're really nailing the whole Goebbels angle here. We're talking about Jews here. Those are your words, not mine.

  • Not really. He was unelected; took the job over from Liz Truss, who was prime minister for only 49 days, after taking on the job from Boris Johnson who resigned after a string of embarrassing decisions and an absolutely marvellous display of incompetence and inability to perform even at a basic level at his job.

Boris, also unelected, took on the job from Theresa May, who took over the job from David Cameron, who resigned right after saying "we're going to hold a referendum on Brexit", the coward.

It's been a baton pass from one failure to another, and after 13 years in power, says their party is "The Party of Change". Change from what? Their own incompetence?

  • I guess the veil of unconditional support for Israel has finally dropped.

Let's do something about enforcing the true definition of anti-Semitism next, and not have Israel's definition of it, which is essentially "anything they don't like".

  • They didn't say the children were shot. They said they were wounded.

24 times? With a sniper rifle? Come on dude. Spare yourself some dignity and think for a second before you say something that makes zero sense.

Sniper rifles will shoot through windows, interior walls, equipment, human bodies, etc

OK. Again. 24 times??? Dude. It's a SNIPER. You know, the one where they say "I have a clear shot, I'm taking it". You think they're shooting through walls that many times that (if we assume a crazy high rate of 25% hit children unintentionally because of course they weren't aiming at kids!), that's still 24 * 4 = 96 shots at a hospital? Why not use an assault rifle at that point? With a sniper rifle, you watch, you wait, and you make sure you have a shot before taking it. If you miss, you regroup. There's no mention of a high value target, no mention of Hamas activity inside. If they had that intel, it would be on the news for sure.

Again, as usual, the people to be mad at here are the literal terrorists committing literal war crimes by turning hospitals into battlegrounds

No. Not ONCE have they actually confirmed that the target they're after was killed. Every target is a valid target if they say so after the fact. The hospital they bombed and were so sure had a tunnel, was not true .

Sure, Hamas is a rebel force to Israel but the sheer number of collateral damage to kill even a single Hamas soldier is completely out of this world. Even in this scenario, 1 person killed, 24 wounded by sniper fire, and they didn't even confirm who the target was or if they got him.

  • one person was killed and 28 others were wounded in a shooting by Israeli forces at Al-Quds hospital in Gaza, the organisation said.

The majority of the injured were children and two are in critical condition as a result of sniper fire targeting the hospital.

This is sniper fire. In the hands of one of the best-trained and most advanced military force on the planet.

Sniper fire. A sniper - a precision weapon used to take out targets with minimal collateral damage.

So, I wonder, why are there 28 wounded, the majority of them children, in a hospital!, when a sniper is the weapon of choice???

In order to wound 28 people, they were either a terrible shot, or they were deliberately targeting innocents and children.

A sniper is supposed to wait for a clear shot and take it only when absolutely sure. This is absolutely sickening.

  • He went up against tech industries by getting the right to repair into law.

Now that the train is fully in motion, he's turned his attention to other shitty things that corporations are doing to inform, educate and sometimes fix.

It's a public service and I'd rather have more of him then internet shills who sell their souls for more ad revenue (advocating for dodgy/bad products which in some cases are outright scams, inflating video lengths to 9 mins so they can get extra revenue etc).

  • It's ridiculous that they're monitoring what courses are being taught at schools/colleges and have the ability to blackmail them into censorship.

It's about time we strip them of these privileges. I think they should lose their ability to abuse anti-semitism when they carry out those same injustices to other people.

  • What's Prime hack?

I bought Nova Launcher Pro and used to happily donate to them because there really was nothing else that could compare.

It sucks that Branch bought them, and why I stick with the Stock Google launcher now.

Does the Prime hack give you Nova Launcher again without anything going back to Branch?

  • All the activity in every zone I visit really does just feel so great. There's no better sign a game is alive and healthy. It was totally that which hooked me.

So true! It's a game that really respects your time and there are always people around to help you if you get stuck.

Welcome to GW2, I genuinely hope you continue to enjoy your time here!

  • Usually when countries are founded.

Like, imagine a country living under oppression finally gains their independence and can govern themselves. Everyone alive in that country knows how bad things were and the leader they elect promises that they will no longer have to worry.

Sure they have their challenges but they get on with it and they make it work.

The person who becomes the leader 3 generations later? To them it's just a way to gain power, make money and do what they want. They have no idea how people felt when they were being oppressed, and how desperately they wanted to be liberated.

One of my favourite quotes by G. Michael Hopf summarises this perfectly:

    Hard times create strong men.
    Strong men create good times.
    Good times create weak men.
And, weak men create hard times.

  • OMG.

The feeling when you've forgotten one of your favourites from when you were a kid and you read the name and think "that... feels familiar and exciting..." And then Google it to confirm it's the very game you were hoping it to be!

    Thanks! I'm getting it immediately!!

  • Guild Wars 2 is great!

I'm biased because I've been playing it since launch, but I've also dabbled in the others and simply couldn't justify a sub fee when

    a) there are so many other games I'd like to play simultaneously and not feel guilty doing so b) there's no gear treadmill! It really sucks in games like WoW where I want to check out the older content to get up to speed and just the zones were dead. Conversely, I'm doing map completion with my wife in GW2 and even the core maps had a bunch of people running around doing dynamic events and world bosses. The game feels so much more alive!

  • When politics stopped being about helping the country and became more about point scoring and massaging one's own reputation, it became a breeding ground for wealthy countries like China to swoop in as a lifeline.

    What do I mean?

Well, imagine you're a country struggling financially. The new president is sworn in, promising an infrastructure reform, more jobs and prosperity to the country.

The president then sells the country to China and China comes over and starts developing their infrastructure, builds hospitals and creates a lot more jobs. The president gets hailed as a turning point for the country, the end of corruption. They end their term, get set up for the rest of their life with money, protection etc.

Then, the next president takes the job, and China says it's time to pay up. The guy who just sat in his new fancy chair has no idea what deals the previous president made, and realises the previous president made a deal with the devil, sorted themselves out and is leaving the cleanup to the next guy.

Is there a way out? No, not really. It's less about whether you owe money and more about who you owe it to. IMO owing a particular country is never a good idea because you could find relations break down between your country and the country you owe and suddenly that debt comes with a side serving of pain.
