  • I rarely give likes, which I guess is hypocritical as I like receiving them if I put effort into a post.

    But honestly, comments are always better anyways, and that's what I do more of as well. Likes are more of a poor substitute.

    Look at Lemmy top posts for hour/Xhours/day, and it's nothing but memes.
