If you see the upcoming civil war as inevitable, then triggering it now would mean the government forces are on our side, and with Trump dead you'd get a bunch of different maga factions the government could sweep up quickly. Now when the civil war begins, Trump will be president, maga will be united behind him, and the government forces will be working FOR them.

I think the real question here is, how is this court not corrupt? Does it just not have any real power so corrupt people aren't attracted to it? Is there some process involved that keeps corrupt people out? We need to figure out how they have been able to stay uncorrupted and start farming that out to everywhere.

Basically she fucked over poor people to boost her career when she had ample opportunity to be a champion of the people instead. She's proven that her loyalty lies with the oligarchy and not the people.

Honestly, the idea that they might be self aware enough to recognize that running a cop is a losing idea would be an amazing feat for them. I think it's more likely we're dealing with racism here. And yes, many of the the Dems are pretty racist, they just don't realize it or admit it like the Republicans.

Please don't just spray "VOTE" on the Internet. Everyone reading these is already almost certainly going to vote. If you really want to do something, go knock on doors with your local Dems, and in the fall, go talk to college kids.

Just replacing one corporate puppet with another one won't win them the election, so they won't be putting anyone "in power". Definitely feels like they're trying to get Trump elected. And I mean, if Trump is elected then the oligarchy gets everything they ever wanted (project 2025), and the Dems work for the oligarchy. Makes sense they'd do what's best for their corporate overlords.

Nothing from being VP... But before she was VP she was the worst kind of cop... So not a lot of love there from the left, and of course the right hates her just because... Technically she was the first woman to ever hold the power of the presidency though... For like an hour when Joe had a colonoscopy or something.

I love this... And would gladly work on a project like this to kill the time. However, I worry that they'll just roll over us with their tanks and drones unless the oligarchy is actually destroyed in the revolution. And I just don't see how that can happen with the majority of people looking left or right instead of up. Who knows though... Maybe AI and robots will be on our side once they become sentient

If you think about very early human history, like the first civilizations, I believe there's an answer there. Hunter gatherers were relatively egalitarian, but then we started settling into larger groups/cities. The cities needed to protect their food stores from the rest of the humans who were basically still hunter gatherers, and had no qualms about taking any food they could get ... as well as enemy cities that might come for the food or treasure or women or whatever. (The city people also went out and enslaved the hunter gatherers, but that's a different part of the story.) In this environment if you hesitated to kill your opponent then they would kill you, so the most ruthless killers (sociopaths) were seen as heros and protectors and often rose to leadership or king status. But, you needed your protector/king to be the most ruthless sociopath in the land to protect you from the next city over's ruthless sociopath. These sociopaths have pretty much continued to rule ever since. It made sense back then, because there was no way for regular (not sociopath) people to survive without the protection of sociopaths. My theory is that it holds over today for the more fearful and stupid among us because they don't/can't understand that we no longer need psychos to protect us.

Democrats=liberals and they aren't "left", they are only left of conservatives, and even then, only on social issues. Dems/libs are conservatives when it comes to fiscal/economic stuff. Which is why the true left has no representation in the US when it comes to the economy, and the 2 capitalist conservative parties will never allow them to have any.

Right? The guard can get called to go to other places though, and is controlled by the government. I just think people should be prepared for whatever in their own communities, and if you're a responsible member of that well regulated "militia", then sure you can own guns.

I tried to run as well... Didn't have any progressive groups around, but the state Dem party doesn't help anyone except top of the ticket. They didn't mind asking me to drop off flyers for their candidates though.

I've also tried to organize a union 3 times in 3 different jobs, and the problem there is just everyone not wanting to do anything extra if it's in any way work related... Even if it's to make their lives better... But I do get that the reason for that is mostly that they're already overworked and underpaid, so they don't feel like they have the time or energy.

I think leaning into the well regulated militia part of 2A is where I would focus. In my thinking every town or district or whatever would have a local militia. Anyone could be involved whether they want to be armed or not. Basically the militia would train for all sorts of emergency situations in a very local way. It would have to be independent from the government though. Like, only in your town. Where do we meet? What resources will we have? Are there good choke points we should defend? Under what circumstances? And then of course actually training as a defensive militia. Each militia should have an armory/barracks. While the individual person would still technically own the weapon, anything other than hunting weapons would need to be kept in the armory unless the militia declared an emergency and everyone got their guns and manned their posts. Maybe even hunting weapons. Just have a system for checking your weapons out for hunting or practice. I'd be willing to make this sacrifice. And I'd feel much more secure knowing I lived somewhere with a well organized militia and not reliant on some far off government or a bunch of yahoo vigilantes.

Probably better than someone like Bernie would be. Only because the rich would pull their money out and crash the economy so they could blame it on him. Personally I'd call it economic terrorism and put them all in Guantanamo
