  • Everyone iny social circle and at work convinced themselves that he would fix things immediately. I can't tell you how many times I heard "as soon as Trump gets in the economy will get better" or "he'll fix it". He's a liar. A big reason we're here is he didn't get called out enough for being a liar.

I'm pretty sure the only thing he's interested in is revenge and he doesn't care who gets hurt on his path to achieving it.

  • Reading the article made me think of the scene in "Caddyshack" when Rodney Dangerfield's character claimed to have a broken arm after being struck by a ball.

The sad thing about this is it's our own fault. The inability or unwillingness to call a lie a lie and a liar a liar has gotten us to this point.

  • It sounds like a typical Republican trying to be a martyr. Hopefully there are enough witnesses to get these charges dropped or for him to be found innocent. On another note have we really reached the point where the word trans can't be published?

  • They're in the same business. They have to believe that what they are doing is advancing access to care by making sure the companies are solvent. It doesn't matter what the truth is. To quote George Constanza- "It's not a lie if you believe it"

  • His wife is a physical therapist so she has an intimate understanding of the health care system. I'm sure it's turning a blind eye. The article I read described their home as a $1.5 million home in an exclusive Minneapolis suburb. She knew. Cognitive dissonance can be very powerful.

  • I was reading an article that quoted his wife about what a great guy he was. It reminded me of Ken Lay's wife talking about her families liquidity problems after the Enron collapse. Hundreds of employees lost everything and she's griping about liquidity.

  • This is very true I live in red area of a red state and a common theme is a Democrat leader is immediately blamed for all problems upon taking office yet when it's a Republican "you have to give them time to fix the problems". I wouldn't be surprised if Republicans are still blaming Democrats for problems at the midterm elections.
