I'm sure there is much disdain for taking some of the limelight.

I use the Realcalc scientific calculator app at least 5 times a week. As others have mentioned GPS functionality for driving is great. I also use my phone's GPS to get waypoints for the location of fixtures for my job as a telecommunications facilities designer.

Having a high quality camera is also handy for work and personal stuff.

I'm hoping to see Trump cut off Musk. I don't think he will until his ego is sufficiently bruised.

I wish it were an Onion article. Unfortunately it's all too real.

It's supposed to be. According to law an H1B employee should be treated with the same rights as someone who is a citizen or a permanent resident. You're supposed to document that no citizen would take the job. In practice it's difficult for H1B employees to change jobs because of the limited window to find a new employer so they can easily be manipulated and abused.

I also jever thought of gim as a genius. I also never bought the idea he was a force for good. He's always been a narcissist. He just used the "good work" he was doing as a shield. We now see his true self

I'm thinking it will be a repeat of his first time. He had majorities in both houses and couldn't get any major policies through because of infighting. With wich a slim majority I think we'll see the same thing.

I thought we'd at least get to Trump's inauguration before the major infighting started. The next 4 years will be brutal. I hold on to some optimism that we'll make it through but it's going to be hard.

That line of thinking would be valid if anyone was interested in policy. Trump is only interested in two things- 1) getting elected and 2) getting revenge. He used Musk to get elected and now they have different priorities. This happened in his first administration.

Well they deserve their benefits unlike those other poors who are in a bad spot due to their own faults.

I can't count how many times I saw posts on my Facebook feed that said things like "If you or a loved one relies on Social Security be careful who you vote for". Knowing the people who posted I know they are Trump supporters. I guarantee that when benefits get cut they'll find some way to blame it on Biden/Harris/Pelosi, etc. They either don't see it or refuse to see it. Likewise the number of people in my life who expect an economic miracle by the end of February is unbelievable.
