What's the e-reader you would buy if you were in the market?

  • +1 to Kobo as well, although I'm admittedly unfamiliar with the pirate apps (arr).

    no issues downloading books and adding/editing my library with calibre and you can connect it to your library card to rent ebooks if you're feeling frisky.

    or you can bypass the login steps and change out the firmware and add games and other utilities. it's as customizable or not as you want.

    lots of refurbished options through rakuten and ebay

  • originally read the title as "people's spending" so I uh.. I guess we should add reading comprehension to the list of things people (me) are bad at

    imo some of the drivers for today's terrible grammar and spelling stem from a "rush to reply" e.g. people commenting "frist!"

  • damn, nice. I've got a portable screen that does the opposite and charges from its input. I keep hoping someone has invented a magic cord that allows me to split power and video separately from my deck, but then I realized that's exactly what docks are for 🙃
