  • Haven't seen this in this thread yet, but I'm going to say an improved sound system. For me, it was just a soundbar and rear speakers. I live in a tiny apartment so couldn't fit a full sound system with front speakers, but just that was a huge improvement over just the TV speakers before.

  • No, up to this point it has been billions of dollars and weapons to Israel with the occasional finger wag to them. Troops on the ground is the natural next step of his policy up to now, and congruent with Kamala's statements that "Iran is the number one enemy".

  • Ya remember that genocide after the apartheid South African state fell and was transformed into a state for everyone? That's why you don't see any South Africans nowadays. And they certainly never clog up my news, technology, and politics feeds with their inane opinions and dumb-looking trucks...

  • They're enabling Israel's aggression by providing military support, even defensive support. Not to mention adding US troops to the area increases chances some will get killed or injured, providing an excuse to enter the conflict even more.

  • I was about to say, aren't we just giving them old outdated weapons and equipment anyway that we were going to replace? I mean sure we pass a Ukraine bill every now and then but I don't think it's costing us as much as people think.

  • I'm curious if it's because she has taken the Biden campaign advisors on board. Maybe his whole crew thinks like him, and are thus rabid Zionists.

Or maybe they determined that all the critics are in blue places and not swing states, so they don't matter.

  • It doesn't help that so many economists, the tech priests of capitalism, didn't believe that it could be a thing that companies were gouging people. They were blaming it on workers, high employment and high wages for the longest time and not the true culprits. I still feel like the media hasn't caught up with the cause, except for maybe Jon Stewart if you count him as part of that.

  • Well minimum wage should be keeping up with inflation. If everything gets more expensive and then suddenly isn't, it doesn't really help anyone until everyone also get paid more.

But that's more of a local government thing. I think we're getting something like that on the ballot in California, but poor red states probably don't have a chance in hell of passing stuff like that for themselves.

  • What? I thought you were talking about the security and privacy issues, but now I'm not sure what you're arguing against. Even your link admits that the changes for improved security only happened after all the security official in the world said how that feature was asking for trouble from a privacy and security standpoint. It was doing what stuff all along? Improved security features? Definitely not. Your screen shots don't mention any of the stuff in your link, such as the dedicated VPN stored locally, with encryption and keys and PIN, etc.

  • But people know they will soon, considering Windows is the most popular OS and they have been forcing everyone as hard as they can to always update to the next and newest version.

The link is also interesting but it only happened after the whole world screamed at them about the privacy and security issues of the feature.

I'm definitely saving it though, because it also includes a way to not have to keep seeing the stupid re set up your system screen after every Windows update. Didn't think I'd run into that in your link, but I couod use that information lol.
