Sounds like our country and our two party system lol. Mexico was ruled by the same party for decades and got out, though, so maybe there's hope for Japan.

Trump pulled out of the Iran nuclear deal for basically no reason and assassinated a beloved political figure. I doubt they care about Russia more than they hate Trump.

I still wouldn't blame them for sucking up to the US in their current situation. Them and Israel basically rely on the US for their weapons. The US is who I blame most of those 3 because they have the most power to stop it without relying on anyone else for survival.

The show had a lot of potential, and some good ideas. It's just too bad the execution didn't work out, but I think I heard part of it could be because of the pandemic.

So the smaller group has to capitulate to the larger group every time? You think that's how political power works? That's not how the smaller group gets political power. It's through using the leverage hrye have to force compromise from the larger group if they want to win. The same thing smaller parties do in coalition systems.

Doesn't matter why they're doing it. The US didn't fight the Nazis out of the good of their hearts or they would've gone in before Pearl Harbor, but it's still good they did it.

Yes, but slowly. Every time I go to the Reddit front page and just see astroturfing and vapid pop culture stuff, then go to the comments and see 75% repetitive bot comments, I realize how much that place sucks now. I want more niche discussion spaces, but I don't want reddit again anytime soon.

It probably would, at least they couldn't sustain the 5 front war they're starting now as easily and might actually face some consequences.

At least its democratically controlled if it's controlled by the government (well, once we establish an actual democracy first) and the profits are given to all of us.

"Aren't doing enough to stop this"? Dude, they're causing the bad things right now. They're the ones giving bombs to Israel, a missile defense system and sending boots on the ground, attacking Yemen, meeting up with Israel to help them organize attacks against Iran and Lebanon with our intelligence. It's not even like they're not doing enough to stop bad things from happening, they're actively encouraging it.

The first one has also been saying that they support Israel, that Oct 7th is the biggest tragedy despite most likely over 100x that amount has died on the other side by now, that Iran is our number one enemy despite them just defending themselves, and has continued to give a genocidal racist regime money and weapons whole they clear out all of northern Gaza. And the biggest thing of all, is that they're the ones helping perpetrated the genocide now. Pay attention to people's actions, instead of words (although in this case, as I said initially, her words haven't been great either lol).
