  • I doubt that. Spacex is miles ahead of the rest and they have bigger plans.

Sure they would rather have a monopoly on cheap rockets for as long as possible but they have always known people would be trying to catch them up

  • School was great. Short days, long lunch and breaks. Loads of holidays. Had an hour of exercise thrown in every few days. Loads of people to talk to. Different things to learn.

Hated certain classes and hated being a child at times.

Last couple of years of highschool was awesome. Dropped all the shit classes, people suddenly treated you better because you was a young adult had even more time off! Like fuck 3 hours of work a day was unreal. (Where is our reduced workforce efficiency gains!)

But I agree with the other guy uni was much better. More drinking, more fucking more independence. Uni was the dream.

  • God people are stupid and one sided on this

They were suspended for disrupting the democratic vote process.

It's not about the haka. Its about a time and a place for democratic voting policy. Democracy is paramount it's not about any one person, people or groups of people trying to intimate the vote. That happens outside. No one is complaining about doing the haka for or against anything at any other time.

But when it cones to voting you got to behave.

It is highly disorderly for members to interrupt a vote while it is being conducted. The right to cast one's vote without impediment goes to the heart of being a member of Parliament. The threshold at which an interjection during a vote may be considered a contempt is where the interruption could be considered intimidatory

Thats the wording of the report. But Lemmy is already on their wokey high horse. Minorities can do no wrong.

The fact of the matter is intimidating voting process is not okay. You are stopping democracy. If a white people acted that way there would be no outcry. The outcry is only about people not being given special treatment for being Maori, if I white person done it the result would have been fine and everyone here would say it's justified. It sounds like everyone here is racist but NZ actually made a decision not based on race.

  • So many people talk about doing this but few actually do.

I've done something similar involving working holidays. I'm tired now and Covid fucked up my plans and my career is going to be hell to get back into, but I want to change anyway. Just hope I got enough experience and education and brains to climb up the ladder, I just don't know where yet.

I'm glad I did it but it isn't for most.

  • No what you don't understand is women are completely powerless and must be protected at all cost. They can't be responsible for their own decisions. If a (female) adult wants to date another adult then it must be okayed by other people that have nothing to do with the situation. Otherwise everyone needs to step in and protect them.

I think people refer to it as equality.

  • If you are smart and hard working enough you can get into the top units that not a problem.

But it's pretty much taken as a fact that people that go to private schools will do better than if they went to a state school.

So if you get 3xA* in state school, private school isn't much benefit.

But if you going to come out with anything less or generally a troublemaker private schools might be better for you.

  • Honestly in some ways this is such a stupid solution to the problem.

When it comes to cost saving or on the other side of the coin efficiency. The most useful thing is to remove it not make it cheap.

We should be looking and giving people very good and easy alternatives elsewhere were they don't need call centres at all.

I called my doctors a million times to book an appointment and if I could have done it all online I would have. This is how many times I called:

Went to hospital and Dr told me book drs appointment.

    1. called to book
    2. they call back asked futher questions

got one (got told to come back by doctor)

    1. can't book that doctor for the future call up first thing in the morning at our busiest and we can rush you in. (I then got a job so needed to book)
    2. we have no staff call back when we do (didnt say when)
    3. called. We have no appointments call be next week. "Can I book that Dr"? "I don't know. You'll have to call back Tuesday"
    4. I'll call back next tuesday.

This isn't fixed with an AI this is fixed by me being able to book an appointment online. If the Dr needs to give me a slip for one booking approval to not be abused so be it. Receptionist doesn't need to know my business so fuck them.

  • I'm sure someone mentioned that girls with one hairstyle is trashy or something. You know like "those type of people". Whatever the other women look down on.

    Trashy women going to cheat.

At least thats how it has been explained to me. I'm jot even American so I dont know

  • I don't understand. Aren't fractions better than decimals for algerba?

Like 22/7 is better than 3.14 when it comes to pi for example.

We always got taught to do everything as fractions and then convert to units at the last possible moment to reduce errors in rounding.
