  • Happy when I get ice cream that doesn't take 10 minutes to thaw enough to not bend spoons. Never seen anything close to what you've described though; just soft enough that you can generally eat it with some force straight from the freezer.

  • Too bad there's no article you could read to check. It might even say something like:

But in a stunning abdication of moral responsibility, Democrats made little mention of trans rights during this year’s Democratic National Convention (DNC). Trans people were mentioned in just two speeches, and neither speaker received prime-time speaking slots. For the first time since 2012, the DNC did not feature any trans speakers.

  • Yeah. Not sure how long these kinds of things take. Would hope it doesn't take much longer to at least get it in nightly. Seems like they added vertical tabs recently, so maybe they wanted to get that done first and groups will come soonish?

  • FF still hasn't brought back a tab group API for extensions or native tab groups. Extensions can only do so much given what they have to work with. I still use FF on the side, but it simply isn't a practical as a primary browser for me currently.

But for casual users, many probably have never even touched their browser settings.

  • There's also other chromium browsers with built-in ad-blocking that still work AFAIK. If all extensions and forked brower's ad-blockers stopped working, I think there would probably be a surge in firefox usage (even if there's not that much change in chromium usage).

  • There's people like my moms who generally think they align with republicans because they think democrats will make them poor to make the poor rich. But they won't vote republican because of homophobia. Seemed like Trump was trying to distance himself from homophobia for a little bit, so stuff like this will continue to keep votes away. I don't think they'd vote for Trump regardless, but if they noticed the attempt at pandering followed by overt homophobia, it could continue keeping people rightfully distrustful of republicans for decades.
