Oh, don't get me wrong. Eliminating the TSA is a net positive. Good to know about the increased in flight security, and that makes sense.

I truly do not know if there is a good solution, but I do know the TSA ain't it. People are pretty ingenious, and if someone really wants to get something through security, they'll likely find a way. Hell, I saw a video of someone that built a functioning weapon entirely from items purchased after the security check. Luckily he was doing it as an example, but still.

They find a lot of guns (about 5,000/yr), but it is usually from people that forget they can't take guns on a plane.

Yeah, it's not the most egregious example, and I think the combo of bad Photoshop and generative AI is probably close to the mark. That being said, if an outlet uses AI, I am far less likely to trust them in general.

Shitty AI art hot dogs aside (seriously why do you need AI hotdog "photos"), this is kind if a nothing article. They even rightfully point out, "The study has limitations. For example, the research does not prove direct cause and effect." Correlation is not causation and all that. It boils down to have things in moderation, including processed meats. Something health experts have been saying for decades.

I use magic earth, and it is inaccurate with traffic most of the time. Still, it is accurate sometimes, and most of the time I just need the turn by turn because I already know where there will be traffic on most days.

I think at one point he was a software engineer. I don't he has been that for a long time, though. This is also probably not true any longer, but he did have a knack for spotting up and coming companies and buying them.

I think it is more nuanced than that. He has had a variable amount of involvement in multiple companies throughout the years, and noting when something is or is not his fault is not a bad thing.

Like I said before, he has been pretty heavily involved in Tesla since he bought the company. He notably makes a lot of decisions. SpaceX, on the other hand, is notably run by Gwynne Shotwell for a majority of decisions. He has made some design decisions, but he is pretty checked out on the day to day.

I don't think he was never a good engineer, but I think he has not done it in so long, that he has lost those skills. Also, if the alleged amount of ketamine he does is even kind of accurate, that does not help make good decisions. He also has almost nobody he will listen to. We can see all that reflected in the decline of good ideas coming out of Tesla (again, the company he is most involved in).
