  • I thought I was losing it because this app wanted to save things to a "downloads" folder. Only to find out it saves it in something like

    documents/app name/downloads Instead of

    Downloads/

  • My mom worked in a factory, my dad has been chronically unemployed and her parents worked at a food cart.

We owned a 3 story house with two kitchens, four bathrooms, and six bedrooms for $70k in the hood. Gentrification happened and it's worth a million now.

I make double what my mom makes, and with the combined salaries of my wife, we still rent.

  • I don't have a problem when they bring it up either. It's when they dismiss my story to highlight theirs.

"Oh, you were in a car accident? That's NOTHING. I was in a REAL car accident where I nearly died."

"Your parents divorced? That's not even a real divorce. They just separated. My dad died. From the car accident."

"Oh, your house was on fire? You call that a fire? PATHETIC. My house was on fire after my mom drove her car into it, setting off a gas explosion, killing my father."

  • brand new X-wing or lightsaber or landspeeder isn't all that different from one that was built 50 or even 100s of years ago.

If you want to get extremely weird... The Old Republic takes place 3600 years before the original trilogy.

    Tech is mostly the same.

Compared to 3600 years in reality, we went from pooping in a hole to pooping into a magic toilet that sings you songs while spraying you with water.

  • Wait, people say "Jurassic Park Bullshit" dinosaurs?!

Even if they're inaccurate, they're my homies.

Also I'm referring to the 1990s Jurassic Park. I haven't kept up with modern versions.

  • I'm not a woman.

My wife has taught me how much leakage there can be, depending on the time/month.

It's why I we have those water proof mattress covers. For ALL of our mattresses, including our kids.

  • Can we just hit the baseline and have Democrats NOT vote against their party's interest?

Maybe I'm just cherry picking but policies in the past decade passed by a Democrat has been like 90% Democrats/ 0% Republicans approve.

But policies passed by a Republican is like 100% Republican / 20% Democrats approved.
