I could make good arguments against zuck, I don't think anyone should be able to be that rich but it's funny to me when a group freely shares pytorch and other key tools used to help do things like detect cancer cheaply and efficient, help impoverished communities access education and health resources in their local language, help blind people have independence, etc, etc, all the many positive uses for ai - but you shit on it all simply because you're too lazy and selfish to actually do anything materially constructive to help anyone or anything that doesn't directly benefit you.

I get that it's nice to imagine the world is no more complex than the things we see but the president doesn't just come up with cool sounding things while he's up on his podium - Biden has been a hugely effective policy maker and actually got stuff to happen so I think it's silly to suggest he's not got a plan.
It's great to see plans working, everyone moaned when the infrastructure was being built that it's too expensive and everyone moaned that transition to renewables is too slow but with the systems in place we've reached the point of rapid uptake and are witnessing a sea change.
We're now at the point we're going to start seeing coal transportation decline to the point that established lines close, ports redevelop coal infrastructure into general purpose cargo or close all together, meaning the freight line feeding them stop and coal nines only have local industry to sell to - smelting works for example. Coal is horrible to transport and it'll be great to remove all that heavy machinery and dirty work, replaced with some simple straps of copper running underground.
In the uk the woodland trust are.putting chargers into car parks so you can atop on a long drive for.a walk in the woods, it's great for those rare long journeies and can tie in with lunch perfectly.
Supermarkets and similar are doing the same so you can shop and charge at the same time. Were going to see more of this as infrastructure improves and roll out continues, rather than adding time fueling electric cars for most people will remove the need to ever make a stop just to fill up.

Yeah I'm too poor for a boat but I know a few people who live on them because they're a cheap way to live a chill life. It's very possible to be working class on s yacht, I've also known a few people who move and crew yachts so it's very way for me to imagine the human tragedy these attacks can bring.
