Part of it yes, part of it no if everybody was either for or against a statement than nothing would get done besides by what which part was the biggest. If people are open for compromises you can get more done.
You don't need to get rid of all cars to make a city more friendly to people walking or biking, but you also need to spend money on infrastucture for them.
Most states probably should be a separated country, I am just worried about states like Texas who will cause more issues that way.
You can still do something like we do in Europe with the EU, or Shengen countries etc
You already get the benefit of lower prices for digital products that have the same production cost regarless of where it is sold. I understand that your wages are lower, but I can not like paying a lot more for the same services/
Personally I wouldn't want to work in an office where (almost) everybody is remote.
I believe that the best option is to do a hybrid.
Edit: I prefer working with others in person instead of doing it remotely over the phone or teams.
Not sure if I am more productive at work or at home due to the distractions at home. But I am in the minority it seems, but then again my commute is about my rewind time so I am refreshed when I am at home. Traffic isn't an issue either and I can bike if I wish (and didn't sweat as much)
That was the case when I lived with my parents, but now it changes every 5 minutes sadly.
So I had to shut down my Minecraft server etc for now because I am on a 5G modem which makes it really annoying to open up ports and point a domain to your IP
No you are never that far from society in NL, but at moments when every second counts I would rather just have a phone for my kid. Use something like a Nokia, give them a 10 euro prepaid card and if it is used up buy more and take it from their savings.
And what if you fell while you where alone and broke a leg making it impossible for you to walk? Or you friend fell and hit his head open on the road being able to call for help is actually pretty handy.
Well yeah, but it is always good to carry a phone with you especially when you bike through somewhere where there isn't a lot of other traffic or it is off your unusual route. There is nothing wrong with carrying a Nokia 3310 or something
Yeah I can always do that, but putting stuff behind something like Tailscale is (or atleast feels) more secure than making my IP known to the public. I have a DMZ setup though so it should be fine.
Crap, I really need to switch of Tailscale but currently it is an easy way for me to access my stuff outside of home as a temporary solution while I am on a 5G modem.
If you really want to tax the rich you need to fix the loaning system in the US and stop the normalisation of taking loans for everything is part of that.
You don't need a 30.000$ car if you can only afford it with a lone a 5000$ car will be fine etc
