I recently started myself. Debugging in the real world is tedious for my wife sometimes, but it just needs some fine tuning. I still have a cloud doorbell, sadly, because that's what I had in the before times. Also I'd still like to find a good solution for multi room audio. All in all I am not at all disappointed with what is possible both on web and in the android app.
I was thinking of routing my own external access but decided to just let it run thru Nabu Casa to support their work with a subscription.
Ah okay, well depending on where in Germany you are from there are essentially 5 major options to choose from on the east side of the Netherlands, from north to south:
Groningen
Zwolle
Enschede
Arnhem/Nijmegen
Maastricht
These are all old university cities, with Nijmegen dating back to Roman Empire times. Groningen is very popular among Germans because it is the largest of the cities I mentioned above and it just has a great atmosphere. I've never spent much time in Enschede or Maastricht and I've never been to Nijmegen so I can't speak for those cities. I've lived in Groningen for about 7 years and it's always vibrant and fun.
You've probably been to Groningen but any of the larger cities will have all kinds of stuff to do. Can't speak for Arnhem or Nijmegen but buses will keep going in the city although Groningen is walkable if you use Google Maps or similar.
Trains towards Groningen could be difficult since the train from Leer hasn't run since 2013 or so. If you can take the train to Zwolle, there is a direct train to Groningen from there. Then again, Zwolle is nice as well and you can reach Amersfoort, Utrecht and Amsterdam as well.
The smart money is on finding accommodation outside the city. You will have a difficult time getting out of the city after midnight though.
If you want to store your map preferences, save the preferences to your account and make sure you're logged in.
I'm not saying anything like this is preferable or whatever but there's also little sense in removing all semblance of user experience in favour of removing power from tech giants.
I understand the why of this but this is not an improvement. I suppose search engines should ask you which maps provider you want and then show results based on that.
Which one is right rather depends on the refresh rate of your screen. Your gpu can render 300 frames but if your screen only does 160 Hz you will only see 160.
But yeah, frame generation will only be picked up by your gpu driver software.
Well this is only one slice of the cake. If you pay any kind of attention to what goes on in the world, faith is nowhere to be found, let alone restored. Human beings by and large are horrible and one tiny act of sense doesn't redeem heaps of malaise and sorrow.
For anyone seriously considering this: how the fuck did you end up with that kind of money in your early twenties? Either you're business savvy in which case you won't consider this or daddy's rich in which case you should talk to your dad first.
S&P takes the 500 most profitable companies in the US and builds an index off of that. S&P usually goes about 7% return but markets are very bullish on AI. It's similar to the dotcom bubble so definitely not without risk.
Currently nvidia is driving the S&P up but nvidia might crash one day like cisco did back then.
Hangt er een beetje vanaf waar die vingers terecht zijn gekomen. Kan natuurlijk prima zijn dat de oorspronkelijke eigenaar heel goed weet waar ze zijn.
Strategy wise it's good to mention that you approach this as a savings thing so you deposit, say, monthly. That way you compound your interest and that can really ramp up quickly.
I used Boost for Reddit but well, we know how that went. I really loved Boost. The dev pivoted to Lemmy, so I did as well. So far the experience has been pretty solid.
