As much as they can be annoying sometimes, I'd rather they be here than not. We should be very careful with who we defederate and what or else it could really kill the momentum we have and the beauty of being able to communicate with other users. I rather enjoy when an instance respects my responsibility of me as a user on whether I see what content and how. It doesn't matter if it its a mod or an algorithm. I want to see hexbear users whenever I see fit and not let someone else decides for me.
I feel like the point of that video though was to point out how a common user using linux would just make these kind of mistakes which do happen and are legitimate. That's one of the reasons why I enjoy Linux Mint so much really. Simple to use and not too much of a hassle while also slightly helping you understand some of the easier aspects of Linux.
They're still posting about this stupid shit? I blocked memes a long time ago and I'm so glad I did. It's garbage from reddit spread over to here and I'm not capturing that again. I should just start telling people as a tip to just "block memes@lemmy.world specifically"
I don't blame you for being a cynic really. We had the last election last year I believe and we had our chance and chose to vote him back in. Now he's doing all this shit and pretty much ruining the state as we know it.
