  • A typical sleep cycle is 90 minutes. If you wake up during the wrong part of the sleep cycle, you're going to feel tired. 6 hours would likely leave you feeling better than 8 hours. 7.5 hours would feel better than 6.

Though, allotting 8 hours is a good idea. It accounts for the time it takes you to fall asleep and bathroom interruptions.

  • I spent about a week working a few hours a day deleting all of my posts and comments. Couldn't be bothered to spend the $20 for shreddit to do it for me so I did it myself.

THEN I deleted my account. I "deleted" my Facebook account like 8 years ago but then ended up making a "new" one last year to use the marketplace. Didn't want to use my new email address so I used my old one because I treat it like a burner email nowadays. Old email address ended up being the same one I used when I originally created my Facebook account and lo and behold Facebook never deleted anything. So I don't trust companies when they say they will delete everything.

I'm not even sure Reddit actually deleted all my posts and comments but I feel better about it.

  • I went without Facebook for about 7 years. I went through the account deletion process. After meeting my now wife, she wanted to be able to send me stuff she sees on there. W/E I'll just use my old email address and spin up a new account... Low and behold, my account was still there... I went through and manually deleted all of my posts, chats, liked pages, everything. My account is now just a place for my wife to share reels.

I don't like Facebook but I have found it convenient to be able to use the marketplace again.

  • You should also use a calorie calculator to see what your maintenance caloric intake is. I.e. how many calories your body burns a day with your average routine. Then it's just a matter of eating less than that to lose weight or more than that to gain weight.

Edit: just wanted to say that cutting/reducing carbohydrate intake is definitely a good idea like you mentioned.

  • The main difference being that France is 248,573 mi² (643,801 km2)

The contiguous United States is 3,119,000 mi² (8,080,464.3 km²)

France also has a 3.5x higher population density

    Inhabitants/km²

    • France: 124.4
    • United States: 35.2
  • I hope by the time the next election comes around, assuming we will ever have another election, that we endorse a new party and completely abandon the democratic party in favor of something like a labor party. Maybe, just maybe, we have seen the Democrats vs. Republicans for the last time.

This country had different parties before, we can have different parties again.

  • I deleted my Facebook account years ago, probably right around 2016. I met a new girl last year and she wanted me to make a Facebook account so she could send me stuff. I relented and made a "new" account using the same email I used back in 2016. Low and behold, Facebook never deleted a fucking thing.

  • School Maintenance Director here. They do this shit all the time. I have to plan all of my maintenance and construction around the idea that, at some point, some little shit is going to rip a urinal or water fountain off the wall. It's not even an if, but a when. Schools would be a great place to work if it wasn't for all the kids and teachers.

  • Not voting is the same thing as voting for a Republican. The odds are already stacked against any progressive candidate because conservatives are more willing to open their wallets to corporate donors. Non-voters are traitors just the same. They failed to accept their civic duty.
