Wow. I'm a hobbyist musician. I have ~12 million listens across various streaming services and have made a whopping $45 in the two years since I finally released ~25 years worth of material. (Which is a lot of why it's my hobby and not a living.)

I can't imagine the numbers this guy had to pull off to make that much.

Time for someone in the know to start spreading some "How to fail the ASVAB miserably!" memes.

Sistine Chapel was alright, but really our spare room growing up. Old toys, a bunch of games' consoles, TRS80 Color Computer, a janky old 20" CRT, and a raggedy old couch. Many of my fondest childhood memories happened there.

I would look at that, but I bounced off VIM hard, so probably not for me.

Try telling that to the 5-20% of the guys at my gym in Korea who are absolutely ripe. The problem with having most of your population not have major BO is that those that do generally have trouble dealing with it.

I have a cigarette lighter-USB adapter already plugged in.

I bought a $10 Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the cigarette lighter hole and then an aux cord in our 2010 vehicle. It works significantly more reliably than our other, 2020 vehicle with built-in Bluetooth, touchscreen and all the bells-and-whistles. Seriously, I turn my 2010 car on, "successful connection" every time within seconds. The 2020, I inevitably get failed connections. I don't think my phone has connected to it first try, once. And then sometimes it fails to connect either the audio or the phone calls. Or, I get it connected and my wife gets to the car with her phone and suddenly my Bluetooth connection is gone and we're listening to her phone. It's just infuriating.

Yeah, I might get back to it sometime. It is a mish-mash of so many video game tropes I love. It was just one particular instance where I forced myself through a dungeon as fast as I could, got frustrated with the boss and died a couple of times, finally made it, and wasn't fast enough to beat the NPC that just completely ticked me off and made me put it down. Those monk trial things really tested my patience for a bit there, too.

Long, long puzzle dungeons that encourage you to race against the NPCs. I hated that mechanic so much, I never finished the game.

Not to mention the disregard for proper usage of "fewer" and "less".

Yes, there's something about a live performance that can't exactly be reproduced jamming with yourself in your bedroom, but that doesn't mean that great music can't come out of both processes.

Beato is definitely channeling a little "git offa mah lawwn!" vibes. The reason we don't get any more Led Zeppelins or Pink Floyds or whichever brand of classic rock he worships at the altar of isn't because there aren't talented musicians making music. It's because the circumstances that those artists thrived under no longer exist, and likely never will again.
