  • I think the logic is so politicians can't just slap someone with a charge in a kangaroo court to block them from running as opposition.

Given how fucked up the justice punishment system is in this country, I can't say I don't agree with it, even if I hate it in situations like this.

  • If he wasn't, he's be called an antisemitic jew hater for daring question the Israeli narrative. Anything less than full throated support is akin to supporting Hamas according to a very large amount of stupid and/or intellectually dishonest people.

  • Backbreaking is the best way to describe working construction. We did general framing/siding/roofing, and my body hurt every day after I was done. I went into IT specifically for the mental challenge, and because I saw how my uncle and grandfather's bodies were broken by a lifetime of construction and didn't want to deal with it for myself.

I'll gladly take learning new skills constantly over breaking my body.

  • None? People don’t starve to death in western countries. And where they do the issue is lack of infrastructure.

"This thing doesn't happen, and when it does, it's not the fault of capitalism itself" is a monumentally stupid argument. Especially when talking about the homeless population, which absolutely does have people that starve.

A communist government couldn’t conjure the resources needed to build that out of thin air either.

And the capitalist economy chose not to build it because it wasn't profitable, or after it was built, it was too expensive to be used.

  • Fucking communist countries have killed how many millions of their own citizens?

Bruh, centuries of capitalist exploitation of its citizens and treating them like a disposable commodity would like to have a word on the whole 'citizens killed by their own country' topic.

How many thousands or millions of citizens die yearly because they can't afford to live in this fucked up system?

  • Funny how "quit bombing refugee camps and 'safe' passage ways" or "end the apartheid state that encourages Hamas violence" or "stop the Palestinian genocide" or "stop stealing land and homes" are missing from your list, as is "Israel should stop funding Hamas".

Curuous that you don't seem to want to stop the causes, just the reactions to the decades of Israeli barbarity 🤔

  • If you run on a window system, there is a setting deep in your sound device's advanced options that will allow you to suppress those loud sounds as well. It seems to cut the dynamic range and makes most media much more tolerable in that respect.

  • Don’t fool yourself, Trump is doing well in the polls

Not to discount your point, but polls generally consist of people who answer the phone from unknown callers and have he patience to put up with the people running the poll. That's not going to be a representative sample of public opinion.

Also, trump is looking forward to 4 court cases that are going to be running during the campaign season, so that's going to fuck his numbers more than they already are. He cannot win without independent voters, and the constant news of his overt and stupid crimes isn't going to win over independents.

  • Yeah, I'd much rather be on gen-ad and standing than sitting up in the bleachers, but for some concerts it's like 4x more for gen-ad over seated sections. Sucks, but I'd rather see the band sitting than pay that ridiculous mark up for it.

  • but the more we see war, the more we see that it really cannot be ‘more civilised’ and that the ‘fog of war’ is a bitch.

Is it really 'fog of war' when you're intentionally bombing places like hospitals and refugee camps because tHeRe aRe cOmMaNdErS HiDiNg aMoNgSt tHe cIvIlIaNs?

  • I'm not sure what you're saying, considering the person I replied to said the dude was right to try to murder a bunch of people, and I said property is not worth more than human life. I never said the world was free to live in, just that people who think that this behavior is acceptable over something that should be a human right are pieces of shit.

What are you trying to say?
