  • I remember, way back when, I think it was one of Natalie Imbriglia's first albums, I stuck it into my PC's CD-ROM drive and something odd happened.

I could listen to a digital copy of the album via an included player and files that were in some locked weird format.

My CD drive couldn't see the normal CDDA portion of the disc just this little data area with a digital copy.

    Wasn't impressed.

  • Don't forget Hasbro have been trying to turn their properties into films including Monopoly!

  • The mods were fantastic. One that always sticks in my mind was Quake Rally. I think you controlled a car and drove it through the standard levels or some new maps, I can't remember, it's been so long.

  • I presume the Linux version is the same (I used the Windows version) but WiiUDownloader gives you a lovely graphical interface to download anything from the WiiU eShop servers. Even copies files straight to an SD card ready to install on your WiiU.

  • I've been using Poweramp since version 1.5 on my HTC Hero (Android 1.5!). I'm just curious as to why Musicolet is better. I've already noticed their statement about no internet access, so that's a start.

Edit: Musicolet is louder on my Bluetooth headphones than Poweramp is, that makes 2 points. 😁

  • I'll watch this because it has been directed by Neill Blomkamp but my hopes aren't very high. The trailers make it look so generic.

  • In the UK, The Online Safety Bill is almost about to become law. Without going into the full details, the government basically wants to monitor everyone's messages to stop child pornography and protect people (and other stuff too).

The problem is, they want companies to scan messages and photos as they are uploaded and to give themselves backdoor access to E2E encryption services.

It's very likely the UK will lose access to iMessage, Signal, WhatsApp etc as they would rather withdraw their services from the UK than break their promise to their users.

  • That would make sense. I'd also like an option for all pictures in posts to be resized or cropped so everything is uniform.

  • Oh my god Hyper Sports. Those kinds of games were joystick killers. Combat School killed my Quickshot 2!

That's when I took it apart and learned about leaf springs and why microswitched joysticks were better.

  • I had one of those for my Atari ST. Surprisingly comfortable and very strong too. That was a great joystick.

  • If you liked that, I followed this up with two more reviews.

Back to the Future: Part II which I owned back in the day and made a pretty good game in places.

Also, Back to the Future: Part III, a fresh look at this one because I had moved on from the Spectrum by the time this game had been released.

  • If what he says is true, fair enough but when he mentions the fact are government are withholding stuff like zero point energy from the public, he does sound like a conspiracy theorist.

  • I'm not a fan of the Turtles but I do like them. I went to see this because my youngest had obviously got wind of it on YouTube and something about it grabbed him.

For a bit of perspective, I enjoyed the 90s cartoon, the first live action film (I love the animatronics) and the CGI film TMNT.

Mutant Mayhem was a brilliant film, even if your not a die hard fan. I love the colourful art style as well which was so fresh and different from anything else. It's probably going to be a 4K release for me, that art needs to be appreciated.

The story went in a direction I wasn't expecting and I loved Jackie Chan as Splinter. His fight scene involving an office chair was very Chan in style.

Of course there's a mid credit tease and considering they were a character I was expecting to see all through the film, I hope we get a sequel.

EDIT: I've expanded my thoughts into a full review.

  • Is it theoretically possible for the PS5 to support Dolby Vision?

  • That was a nice piece. I remember becoming hooked on this game from the moment I heard about it. I think that was due to its history of being a Spielberg project that was deemed too expensive to make our something like that.

The first time I played the game was a demo version from a magazine CD and I knew I wanted the full game, I love a bit of good sci-fi.

Once The Dig was released, I went all in. Bought the game on day of release and ordered the novel as well. I also remember finding the soundtrack CD at a record fair.

You probably have to use the way back machine to find it, there was a website called The Dig Museum. It had information about earlier versions of the game and some of the unused graphics that hide in the released code.

Finally, the one puzzle that used to drive me crazy was the rebuilding of the skeleton. I'm sure those nights had to be arranged pixel perfect!

  • Keep these posts coming, they're fantastic. I think I was on my Atari ST by this point. I can't remember if I had Final Fight or not.

While my friends owned Amigas, they easily got the latest games by swapping disks with friends. As an ST owner, I knew no one and had to take risks with every game I purchased. 😂

  • I realised when I read it back but I thought it was fairly humorous. I can visualise the game just not it's name ok! 😆

  • I'll always remember two games I loved playing on my tribal GBA SP. Advance Wars and a game I forget the name of right now.

The cartridge had a UV sensor for detecting daylight. It was all about defeating vampires. So in playing it outside during the day, you could recharge your weapon with real sunlight. But at night the game was too tough as the vampires had the advantage.
