  • The point of my comment was not to say it couldn't, it was to see if the OP of the comment knew anything about what they were talking about or if they were just spreading FUD. I know that it could happen, but saying that because it could happen means it did happen is a fools argument that I was curious to see what the response would be.

  • I mean, you can use VNC and SSH on a 6 inch screen. You can also cut your lawn with a pair of scissors. The article shows a phone connected to a screen, I assumed that "Desktop mode" would be similar to Samsung Dex unless I missed something.

  • I'm angry that the new(er) phones get features that PHONES FROM 2015 ALREADY HAD.

Everyone is so pissed when Apple does it but when Google does it its A-okay? I don't want to upgrade my phone just because a feature that was removed for no reason other than to sell chromecasts is now being added back.

I love CONSOOMING new phones. I love buying the new thing every year and creating e-waste!! Yes big brother please remove the SD Card slot and sell me a cloud subscription, yes please remove the headphone jack and sell me a dongle!

I don't get it man. Make it make sense. Why is it a good thing that they got rid of the feature in the first place to bring it back later as a "new" feature.

  • I generally want to avoid telling people to copy and paste commands they dont understand, especially things like one line installs. I understand what you mean, and while you and I know there is no risk to using RPMFusion, a windows user should never be underestimated in their ability to screw Something up. (See: Linus Sebastian installing Pop!_OS) and most new users do not want to interact with the terminal at all. I feel like if we want people to start using Linux as a daily driver, the option to never use the terminal should be available to them.

  • I don't think a simple statement of "I see your concern, I'll address it when I have time" is really that hard for one person to issue when the alternative is, as you've said, letting "a fucking clown show" fester on. It would've made my worries go away if the developer had said literally anything instead of radio silence for a year. Sure, no one is entitled to a developers time or attention. That developer is also not entitled to my trust or recommendation to others when a serious issue was swept under the rug for over a year. There's no doing better when it comes to a matter of personal opinion on how a situation was handled.
