I mean I dont disagree with you. I try to minimize those risks as much as I can in my life. I run CalyxOS, only run FOSS apps, keep airplane mode on unless I'm out & expecting a call, keep location off unless I need a GPS. I get your point though, I'm in the minority on that.

If there was a Pi Zero on par with the Pi 4 I'd definitely be making my own "phone" though. i hate knowing part of my phone is a google black box.

It's closer to Win8's Metro and Win10s FluentUI more than Vista's Aero but your point still stands. These are decade old design philosophies.

it's an improvement but I'm still not happy about these huge ass buttons in the notification shade that could easily be half the size. Theres so much wasted space. I used to be able to access 6 quick tiles in the minimized shade. now its 4. Used to have 9-12 tiles on a full shade. now we have 8.

If you're going to continue to make 6"+ phones, USE THE SCREEN SPACE FOR FUCKS SAKE

Ive never used tiktok in my life, I only found out BC my brother was complaining he lost his streaks the other day and I was like "Youre still using snap?" and he was like "no wtf it's tiktok"

I didnt know they had it either but I'm not surprised to find out. I know Snap started it, TikTok has it, I believe Instagram has it, and Reddit having it comes as no surprise to me

whether or not you want to say a recession has happened, america is done with being an economic super power, and the middle class will not survive if trump serves all 4 years. There will be serfs and oligarchs with no in between. the point of my comment was not about the literal definition of a recession, it is about the greater implication of what the american citizens who voted trump, and did not vote have done to us.

We're past this point of a "recession". Our economy for the foreseeable future is, without a shadow of a doubt, fucked beyond belief. Our trade partners are gone, no one trusts us anymore because we somehow managed to elect the literal worst person for the job, TWICE. Whatever ends up happening to this country, I hope I can get out before I'm not allowed to get out.
