And we should also consider the longevity of these infrastructures. Cities that built their subways in the 19th century are still running them today and are vastly superior in terms of transit abilities than car cities. The population densities of today are unimaginable without central sewers and water infrastructure. Having continent spanning electricity grids are gigantic achievements. All these have shaped our lives for decades and sometimes centuries already and they are set to do so for centuries to come.

Car tires account for a third of microplastics emissions in Germany. Cars are a major source of pollution, especially compared with alternatives like Bikes or Public transport.

The water usage is a huge issue. The region has suffered a severe drought from 2018-2022. There is some issues with a chemical bubble in the ground that require a careful and coordinated pumping by all water utilities and well operators in the area to not suck it into the aquifer.One water utility had to deny all building permits for new houses, schools, businesses because Teslas water consumption capped the legally and sustainably permittable water extraction in the area.

There was a huge shitshow around the permits Tesla gained with direct political interference from the state government to overlook legal requirements in particular in the context of water. Tesla is fighting to deny access for the water utility to the chemical analysis of the water they extract at their wells.

There is a risk that Tesla could permanently destroy the water supply for hundreds of thousands of people if they are not made to observe the legal requirements and cooperate with other stakeholders for water in the region.

Biden is the face of the Democrats. He is the president of the country and the supposedly strongest leader in the world.

Of course the focus is on him. In the same way when you talk about the French government the focus is on Macron, or talking about Ukraine it is Zelensky, talking about Germany it is Scholz and talking about China it is Xi.

All of these have different levels of formal power, all of them have different political systems, but all of them are expected to lead, to organize their political power and to take responsibility for the work of their administrations.

Even if there is no visible damage, reducing the structural integrity of pressure pipes and the like can force a shutdown of that equipment until the damage is properly investigated.

Empty weight 260 kg. So a normal Pilot 70-80 kg adds 25-30% weight on top. Plus the weight for seat, steering wheels etc. So with a small payload they probably safe quite some weight.

It is also possible that they chose not to shoot down the plane back then, because they didn't want a third world war and it became clear not to be a war plane.

At least this time round there is not enough young people to send into another world war.

It is going to be interesting, when the baby boomer generation starts dying because of old age. There is only so much that buying up for investment purposes can maintain a market without people wanting to life in the houses.
