I know it seems kinda ironic. But the way to reach lots of people is to post on YouTube. If you want to reach people and stop them from using google you're not going to reach them on some obscure platform that no one uses.
And the people using those obscure platforms have already degoogled so your basically preaching to the choir if you use them.
So what is there for normies? YouTube which is also owned by a fascist company. Deezer which is shit. Apple which is another fascist company that supports trump. Tidal which has also had its fair share of controversy ( not paying artists), shit ui etc.
And if you mention the fediverse people will look at you like you speak an alien language.
So since I'm not really using any of these ai tools. Can someone explain to me if openai is "open source" as it suggests? If so can't you just see the source code in case they try to ruin it?
I guess an AI can never be truly open in a way? I know this is probably a red flag but I know that a lot of Linux distros which are completely open source are government funded too.
Here is my opinion. I absolutely love playing oblivion on my gaming laptop with RTX4080. It looks gorgeous and so do a lot of games.
That said, I'd rather play on the deck with somewhat less graphics and chill on the couch after a long day of work. I just love the portability. Performance is okay for most games (it even plays oblivion okayish with reasonable graphics). A lot of games are optimized pretty well for it.
I just see it as an open source switch you can do and play anything you like on. I have tried windows on it too but personally it has no benefit for me so I use steamOS.
Games I play on it:
Oblivion remastered
Borderlands 3
Risk of Rain 2
Elden Ring
GTA V
I also stream from my PlayStation 5 to my deck with chiaki4deck.
What about people who already have a BT headset, or people who are looking to buy their first headset and don't own one yet? You just straight up assume everyone still had a headset with wires lying around and that they somehow never break.
Having to buy something makes it bad isn't really an argument. The very post you are making right now is made from a devide that has been manufactured at some point in time. If you start reasoning like that its better to start living in the woods with no possessions at all.
I guess its because of the shape of the airplane it looks like there are pixels missing. Like you sometimes see in videogames with glitches or when a TV has dead pixels.
And the loyal customers don't care else they would have switched to a deck ages ago (like I did).
Nintendo doesn't care and neither do its customers apparently. We can throw a hissy fit here on Lemmy but the cold hard truth is nobody outside Lemmy and reddit cares.
Lol, this is exactly why I use Lemmy. Sure there might be less engagement than reddit. But I'd rather gargle a bucket of diarrhea than go back to that shitty place.
I'd rather sleep at night than constantly think about a bunch of terrible lies I have to remember.
