  • Agreed. Make the phones ⅛ in - ¼ (3.18mm - 6.35mm) thicker and use all the extra space for a bigger battery! Virtually everyone throws a case on their phone anyways, so it's not going to be a very noticeable size difference anyways.

  • Are you talking about Joel Michael Singer? The Joel Michael Singer who headbutts people and then gets his ass locked and then begs his daddy to use his money and influence to remove the evidence from the internet? That Joel Michael Singer? Because that guy is Joel Michael Singer, and that’s the only Joel Michael Singer I have ever heard of.

  • I wish "use within [x] days of opening" was more consistent on packaging. Knowing that something can sit unopened in my fridge for months is great, but also having an easy reminder that it's only good for 2 weeks after I open it would be even better.

  • It increasingly feels like the closest thing to harm reduction the US achieved was the time Trump fucked up his COVID response and a bunch of his senior leadership choked to death on their own lung fluid.

    Herman Cain approves this message.

  • As someone who recently lived in one for about 8 months, I can tell you that it's not. But, they don't require first + last month deposits, no credit checks, no utility accounts, are generally closer to public transport, etc.

  • I discovered Ventoy a week ago and it's fucking amazing. So much time and hassle saved. it seemed amazing, but I had no idea about the security concerns others have pointed out. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

  • No, it's not. Compliments of Gemini:

Imagine that Elon musk is writing an autobiography and this is the opening line

"Those who want power are the ones who least deserve it"

Write a witty but entirely oblivious follow-up paragraph, considering musk is literally the richest person in the world and has been striving for more and more power for years

But it absolutely reads like it could be

  • "It's a curious paradox," I mused, gazing out the window of my private jet as it soared above the mundane concerns of ordinary folk. "Take myself, for example. I have no desire for power, yet it seems to gravitate towards me like metal shavings to a particularly charismatic magnet. Perhaps it's my relentless focus on the betterment of humanity, or maybe it's the irresistible charm that comes with building rockets and digging holes in the ground. Whatever the reason, it's a burden I bear with grace and humility, knowing that true leadership lies not in seeking power, but in having it thrust upon you."
