It will eventually reach the masses when some big brain capitalist thinks they can make good money from it. Technology always proliferates so long as it is useful.
Doesn't matter how goofy they are; they have the stick, so their word is law. No use laughing at their stupidity when countless people will die as a result. This is the new normal for America, and things will not get better until Trump is long dead.
Like i said, fascist level view of media you got there, and judging by your inability to respond to with anything but pregenerated strawmen, a fascist level rhetorical strategy.
edit: Maybe you should write the girlboss Mein Kampf with your skills 🤔
That's right! You have the reading comprehension of a Trump supporter; expecting queer media to be morally clear cut and simple. You'd rather the writers have done nothing subversive with an IP originally created to promote consumerism; instead wanting some cookie-cutter corporate product that's easy to hate. How dare the creators take such a unique opportunity. How dare they do their best with what they have. They shouldn't have tried.
Art will not spark a revolution or overthrow an empire. It can add or subtract fuel, but there is no substitute for action. I'll enjoy a show that says pacifism is for chumps and empire building is bad, not because it's righteous, but because gay girls are fun.
Joe didn't commit genocide, but he did provide the ability and protection for the genociders, which is honestly worse in some ways. America wasn't a proper democracy; mostly a liberal empire where people have no say beyond if they get burnt, or thrown into hell.
The local level was where we could've built democracy this entire time, but building up that way for the long game is difficult and wouldn't have delivered the material changes very quickly. The executive was ensured it would become a dictatorship because the legislature was so incapable of doing basic maintenance thanks to the ever increasing push by the right to achieve anarcho-capitalism at the cost of the very empire that gave liberalism its power.
The capitalists were a bunch of gremlins in an imperial machine who didn't know how good they had it. Some get to do what they want now, but they're losing more power than they realize, as now America won't be the big bad empire it was when they started. Many have assumed it's capitalism that's the monolithic evil of history, but if you really look at the realities of the past, if you really look at the realities of America and the USSR, you'll realize that capitalism was always but a minor force. Empires are the greatest evil in human history, not that Capitalism is better, but it just can't reach the same level.
Viable!?! Given Biden only really won because of Covid, I think Bernie would've actually had a shot in the general, especially in energizing the base and working class. Warren could've also stood a better chance, even if she might not have done as great of a job in office.
Biden was the worst choice, I thought Buttigieg, Klobuchar, and especially Harris in 2020 were far better, but the capitalist elites wanted a weak old man, so we got Biden, dooming us for 2024 because there was no way he'd be selfless enough to step aside. He might've said he'd be one term, but he was lying and that's why no one took him seriously.
Voters needed more than that because it's so hard to believe that the death of the American was a vote away. They couldn't comprehend the existential horrors of fascism when the suffering of liberalism was already untenable. Things were way worse than most wanted to admit, and only now that things are unprecedented will they feel a harsher plunge into the nightmare future we were already destined for.
The world is gonna be unstable compared to the past 80 years for quite a while, and empires will once again trump capitalism as the greatest evil the world has to offer. We might see nuclear war, mass famine, disasters with no organized relief. We will see climate catastrophe, horrendous pollution, regular violence, and an end of safety for everyone on earth. Not even the ultra rich will be safe, as their wealth is meaningless without a state. Protecting it yourself with violence is a far worse deal for your own safety, as now you're competing with other feudal lords as well. No real winning anymore.
The real problem was the Democratic party making tactically poor move after tactically poor move. They were too obsessed with imperial support of Israel to do the right thing for US interests and the voters. They were too "anti-communist" to consider not banning TikTok and alienating younger voters. They were willing to cede the narrative to the right constantly. They refused to give the left any progressive policy goals to chew on despite us yelling about how much all of this would fuck with turnout.
For the past 2 years, they thought corporate ads and ultraconservative libs would win the election, when that wasn't what helped them in the midterms, hasn't been the playbook in decades, and was just what let them hang out with their "good ole Republican friends" who they really wish they could ally with like in the 90s. It was a load of interpersonal bullshit, purposefully engineered by the ruling class to ensure the Democratic leadership would never sacrifice capitalism for liberal democracy's sake.
I'm tired and disgusted of this "blame the left" narrative, especially since plenty of liberals could tell that this was the Democrat's biggest issue for quite a while. They never did anything to address it because the fix wasn't easy. They went with the easy solution and expected voters to pick up the slack. That's not how electoral politics works; Lazy, irresponsible bastards
"Psychoanalyze" you with "cognitive empathy"? Those mighty fancy words make me suspect that you're either grasping for straws, or just trying to waste my time.
Transphobes getting mad and sealioning about "rules" is not pointless drama because it accomplishes the goal of keeping those people out.
Literal rules can be designed or twisted to undermine the fundamental goals of those rules. It creates lawyers focused on rhetoric over morals; lawyers trying to find a way to get away with the very things the rules were supposed to prevent. Words have no meaning so long as they can be abused to accomplish what they want. This is how fascism is so easily able to overtake liberal democratic systems and how powerful interests rig the state in their favor.
Anyhow, most of the drama comes from people like you who care more about semantics than having queer people feel safe and secure. If you want to help banned transphobes overcome their bigotry, find a waywhere youcan do that off blahaj. That's how you can actually achieve your goals without relying on Ada to do it. When many of them inevitably refuse to change, then you can feel secure in knowing that most of this "drama" is bad faith bigotry. Complaining here is a waste of effort for accomplishing what you supposedly want.
I will say that I don't think every member of the old team should be forced to resign. Effective moderation takes active engagement, and as someone who did end up as sole mod of a decently active comm for a bit, I was always anxious about it all being on me. I'm thankful that I was finally able to get help after resolving technical difficulties, as now I have room to breathe. A community this big needs as many consistent mods available as possible, because if they aren't able to handle it, the responsibility falls on Ada. I do not want that for the community or for her.
I think the current mods should instead be forced to accept the way this instance is moderated, end of discussion, or quit. No more floating the idea of migration for the reasons they had. After totally bungling this, they have no chance to ever move peacefully or amicably like they wish they could. They accept this home, or find a new one for themselves. End of discussion.
At the very least, they need several new blahaj.zone moderators, to both handle the reports Ada mentioned, and to build back trust. I hope potential mods of the new comm can join, and I hope members of the old team chose to stay for good. I don't enjoy bad blood, and I would like this place to actually have a enough moderation.
People who argue in bad faith while trying to maintain an aura of civility. The whole "I'm just asking questions" bs that tries to win by baiting you into getting angry.
Must be a troll account tbh. The name is too on brand.
Sorry, but nothing has been made more obsolete by AI than wasting people's time.
