  • I don't think it will ever fizzle out. I do a playthrough of it at least once a year and I've convinced at least 7 other people to buy it or I've bought it for them. It's honestly timeless and has been since I bought it day one. Even without the updates and added content it would be and has been my favorite game and I've bought it at least 10 times for different platforms and for friends. It's the kinda game that somehow makes you feel nostalgic from the first time you play it to the fifteenth. Even talking about it makes me wanna go play it again even though I'm in the middle of Ghost of Tsushima.

  • If it weren't for networking I would have never gone from being a line cook that barely graduated highschool to a CAD tech for a land surveying company. Had literally zero experience and was definitely not what I thought I'd be doing in five years when I was working the closing shift at restaurants every night until 2:00 AM.

  • I definitely agree with you there. But my parents are also in their seventies and are set in their ways. My little sister came out as trans and I can obviously tell my dad hates it. My mom doesn't understand it at all so she just avoids the conversation, but she is supportive.

But I also 100% believe that the majority of people voting for Trump don't understand the threat of fascism. The thing about fascism and being in a cult like MAGA is that you don't realize anything is wrong with what you're doing from the inside. They think what they are doing is the right thing to do. Just look up anyone that has escaped from a cult and they will say the same thing. People don't want what they believe to be put into question and will fight tooth and nail to protect it. It's how propaganda works. Like, if someone they trust tells them that Latinos are coming into this country and doing awful things they'd be more inclined to believe them over the stranger they've never met telling them they're stupid for what they believe in.

  • Because my mom's too nice of a person. She's stuck with my dad through his alcoholism, cheating, and moving 7 times because my dad kept losing jobs. I'm not saying my dad is a good person and I generally think he's a piece of shit. But you know what we do at family get togethers? We don't talk about politics because we all know that we don't agree with each other and we'd rather have a good time with each other than bitch about everything. They're also in their seventies so they'd probably rather enjoy what time they have left with their family.

  • My parents have been voting opposite since they met and very rarely had issues. They just don't talk about politics and they've made it work for 40 years. How about be a fucking man stop trying to control your partner. Women had to fight for their right to vote so as far as I'm concerned they can do whatever the fuck they want.

  • As much as I hate Russia with every fiber of my being these days, I can't deny that it's still better than anything the US is doing. Even if it is a joke, you know what else is a joke? The pocket change ass fines everyone else gives Google.

  • There was actually one time when Obama decided "fuck it" and start driving around the white house, like not even anything crazy and just driving around on the driveway, and the secret service rushed to close the gates so he couldn't get out. He said "That was my big joy ride. Three times around the South Lawn driveway. It was wild." If you've ever seen the Obamas driving around, I bet you he was not the one driving.

  • Fun fact: After you have been elected as President of the United States you are no longer allowed to drive any motor vehicle besides on private property for the rest of your life. This became heavily enforced after the assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963.

I guess my point is this was bullshit from the start.

  • I'm starting to feel like this whole AI craze that big tech companies are forcing onto others is just a dick measuring contest that none of them have the balls to back out of even though they all know it's a stalemate.

  • If only there was a way to keep files on a device you can keep in your home. Maybe even set up a closed system that you can access from everywhere without having to rely on Google's servers 24/7.

    Oh wait, there is. Nevermind.

As much as I'm talking shit, I get it. At the end of the day convenience is a hell of a drug.
