My friend had a Shepherd mix that would do that. It was so frustrating! We tried everything- smashing it up in dog food, dissolving it in broth, everything. Finally we put the pill and a little piece of pill pocket on the end of a straw, she held his mouth open, and I spitballed it in too far for him to get it out.

Fuck. I work with people who are too stupid to recognize how stupid they are. It's exhausting!

HOA's are for people who used to be in positions of perceived power at work but now they're retired and they miss bossing/bitching at people.

I've never heard that term. I get that some people choose not to date, but don't most people just live- go to work, grocery, social events, etc.- and talk to the people around them? I don't really see someone saying, "hey, if that nice girl talks to me I'm going to ignore her."

No. I said this is a very poor area and many people are just trying to survive. Many are likely happy to have any job that allows then to support their families. People think it's only white Republicans doing these jobs. The Rio grande valley is like 85% Latino. As someone else mentioned, border patrol and ice are not the same.

This is sad. It sucks. You want to say that violence isn't the answer, but it's easy to see how people hit their breaking point. ICE agents kidnapping people is horrible. McAllen is poor. The people who work in that ICE facility are likely just happy to have a job with benefits that feeds their families.

I couldn't understand what it's like for people who actually see and hear things in their heads. I recently realized that I sometimes experience a faint taste and I guess it's sort of like that?

When I get a song stuck (which happens constantly) I don't hear it; I just have the unrelenting urge to sing it.

I have no sound, voice, or pictures in my head. I didn't know that other people did see/hear things until a couple of years ago. Thoughts just come in chunks.
