Back in 2012 I couldn't put Skyrim down for 2 or 3 playthroughs, even without mods. Of course I'm older now and got less spare time… but I didn't even get past the first few quests in Starfield. I don't know why it doesn't grab me the same way.
Real sponsors pay up front, or only add an additional bonus for affiliate link sales, if a creator accepts a deal on affiliate link money only, it's their own fault. So if you always fast forward through sponsors and don't care, you might as well enable it to save the bandwidth and power.
There is no need to be productive to be happy, that's internalized exploitation. Real addiction has a pathological meaning and always requires professional support. This sounds like ADHD dopamine hunting and impulsive hyper focusing. I'm not an armchair therapist, I'm not even a lawn chair therapist.
We will get public transportation from one million people city to the next in billionaire tubes. And exploited drive-app drivers will drive people around inside them, because public transportation isn't flashy or profitable enough without the vacuum and the time savings.
