If you say Hamas is responsible after Israel kills the hostage/civilian, then your bias is clear. Here, If you'd like to hear a different take try this Mother Jones article. I find the expert within to articulate this point well.
Do you think the real reports from the petroleum institutes were so dire back in the day that they knew we we're already fucked regardless? I get that "money" but like, are/were they all just that cold and psychopathic that they kick the can knowing it means the likely eventual death of their progeny and end of their lineage? It's just so pervasive and the action so performative that it makes you question the very fabric of reality.
As far as I understand it your on the nose. There's no fair excuse for attacking civilian populations to attain war goals. Not hostages, not music fests, not camps, not hospitals. The cost of war is the price of lives you put on the line to kill selectively. Indiscriminate slaughter in the name of "justice" makes you just as bad as your enemy, and as the casualties and cruelties stack, potentially worse. Yeah?
I know. I would volunteer every presidential war criminal, even if it meant my own life in return. I'm endlessly apologetic for the way we've malformed the world and excuse ourselves from consequence. Nothing will ever be fair as long as we refuse to play by the rules and ask our allies to do the same. We can only hope the civilization that follows us is more genuine and humane.
How do you feel about killing hostages or human shields? Because I may also be questioning your humanity shortly based on that answer. If you think that response is worse than the stakes of whats being discussed I would say that's very telling.
This is bad news for Israels current course of action. When the guy who was popular (enough that the current guy could "best friend" his coat tails into office) starts saying this stuff loud enough for everyone to hear, it's intentional. This looks like more subtle public distancing and changing of narrative.
The former president argued that it was important to acknowledge multiple seemingly contradictory truths: Hamas’ actions were “horrific,” but “the occupation and what’s happening to Palestinians” were also “unbearable.”
Obama previously spoke out on the conflict, saying in a statement that any actions by Israel that ignore the human cost of the war against Hamas “could ultimately backfire.”
Israel and it's supporters should be sobered by this soft diplomacy. It's very much aimed at them and the timing should make it clear that they are being isolated.
You think being less human than wolf blitzer makes you subhuman? Tell me what do you consider Palestinian civilians to justify their treatment? How does your heart not bleed for them compassionate one?
Many would say that stateless socialism is the premise of Anarchism. Stateless largely refers to organizing hierarchies horizontally over vertically, and this is due to the overarching critique that vertical hierarchies result in corruption and rank inequality. Check out Communalism and the works of Murray Bookchin if you'd like to know more. There's also a fair amount of talk about "pure democracy/direct democracy" in these circles and personally I think that Digital Direct Democracy could be the cure for the cancer in all the worlds modern democracies, if it ever takes off somewhere.
How does "clearly" go against all societal norms in your mind? You seemingly know nothing about hostage negotiation, popular culture or just being human. Wolf Blitzer is more human than you. Think on that.
Either that, the foundations of attempting plausible deniability or most interesting, possibly them beginning to publicly lessen support. Bibi has said he's full steam ahead no matter what and as people begin to die of dehydration/starvation this is going to be an anchor around any neck tied to it. Could very well all be shit too, but the actual humanitarian situation is teetering on the edge of a mass casualty event via collective punishment.
Bibi sensing his end may be yoloing this to take the wrap for the "Palestinian Solution." Even the corrupt can sacrifice for beliefs, no matter how grotesque they may be.
It does matter, that is the basis of proportionate response. A defense is an offensive when you leave your borders. These things matter, even if you don't care to believe so. Just like civilian deaths matter, no matter whose side is doing the killing. But 4000 kids dead and your still griping about what a raw deal Israel got. How broken can your mind be?
