  • Reasonable! Doctors and civilians? It's OK if you just say doctors. Legitimately interested in your stance.

  • From the article:

Israel has created a “permanent condition” for Palestinians in which “one state ruled by one group of people rules over another group of people.” They argue that it is counterproductive to continue to see Israel-Palestine through a two-state framework, given the Israeli-dominated reality that exists on the ground.

There’s an understandable impression that can come from the coverage of the October 7 attack that Israel and Palestine had been at peace, and now suddenly they’re at war. Was the Israeli occupation peaceful for Palestinians prior to October 7?

An expert who gets it. This article was wonderful. Certainly worth the read! Thank you for posting!

  • No, you're just annoying and I don't like talking to you. Nothing forces me to have a conversation with anyone. Believe whatever you like, I'm sure that sword swings both ways ;P

  • "The Negotiator" would have apparently been a very different movie had it been produced in Israel. I wonder who the recast gets to replace Kevin Spacey?

  • Thanks, been cribbing inspiration from your LJ posts. Although, I'll say a lot of them come off as quite "emo" :D

    edit: Get well soon friend!

  • Weak argument, your comment was much shorter than his. :P

edit: not that you need it but /s

  • We can still dream my man. Impossible things happen all the time; all it takes are the right ideas under the right circumstances. We just need to be ready to take that step when we see the opening.

  • Says the person stumbling over themselves in a one person conversation. I at least hope you find some satisfaction out of all this effort. I honestly tuned out after your first comment. Please let me know how everything turns out when you finish talking this out with yourself. I'm sure I'll care.

  • Yeah, was just trying to exit with levity. I don't disagree with the flaws of the institution or it's founders. Just trying to support a functional end to war, whatever that may be.

  • ^This guy fully supports genocide. It just needs to be the "right" genocide. From 50 minutes before this:

They've spent the last 18 years making into a terrorist Disneyland with a dozen Islamofascist terrorist organizations with the stated goal of killing Jews and destroying the state of Israel, they've fired hundreds of thousands of missiles into Israel indiscriminately targeting civilians, and launched countless cross borders attacks against Jewish civilians, including one that caused the largest loss of Jewish life in any single day, anywhere, since the Holocaust on October 7th.
They were given Gaza to live in freedom and self determination, they used it to kill Jews. They were warned. They chose to ignore the warnings.

Love it when you "give" someone their own land. Don't let racist fascists hide. Fediverse support is community support.

  • Yeah, I'm saying like actual functional, non hostage to the US, UN. Like how the people who envisioned it wanted. The body that ends the wars of aggression.

  • It's simple. I see a racist, I down vote. No comfort for racists or fascists.

poor poor "palestinian" cinnamon rolls, never did nothin to nobody

    ^This was 30 minutes ago.

  • Solidarity must be had among all the peoples of this world if we hope to overcome the spectral chains upon our souls. International solidarity for all humans.

  • I think the UN should have an actual defensive army to rapidly deploy in situations like this. Attacking the peacekeepers shows the world your true colors.

  • Apologies for your lack of comprehension. I think the material of "his" statements and the context of mine already does that. So sorry you don't understand, but don't feel bad, I'm sure you're great at lots of things!

  • The pizza as medicine makes it too real.

  • White also said the average Palestinian in Gaza is living off of two pieces of bread made from U.N. stockpiled flour, The AP reported. But the situation is growing more dire.
“Now people are beyond looking for bread. It’s looking for water,” White said.

When these innocents die from collective punishment where will be the outrage of brave and just Israel? Where will be the calls for their neighbors justice? Who will be the brave who stop the machine of madness from within? 2.5 million lives hang in the balance and the most these humanitarians can say is we are the saviors that will snuff out the light of basic decency in the name of "safety." If we allow this to continue, one day it will be on all of our doorsteps.
