If it wasn't for all the negatives, it would certainly be amusing to have a giant face for people to vandalize constantly (by even GOP folks who will have the spell broken) when Trump is gone from the this world. Nobody likes him, and nobody actually respects him, they all just see him as a means to an end (power/$).

I don't know why, but a graffiti competition on Trumps giant head would be pretty entertaining. Make it a poll and winner gets to have their art displayed for a year. Hell, make it a fundraiser and help some people hurt by this monster also.

I don't think it's always a difficult task to tell if someone is arguing in bad faith or not, and someone basing their argument on incorrect information is not that (and I assume you know that). So trying to say that I see a mere disagreement on a topic the same as one made in bad faith sounds like you're trying to conflate the two, making it a bad faith argument.

But if pretending a 'difference of opinion = bad faith argument' is what you're looking for I guess good luck. That is what I would call a "circle jerk", but to each their own. Not sure how that type of discussion with no basis in reality can help anyone to "learn and grow" though.

OMG .. dozens! That seems very cost effective, if of course the idea is to shift money to those wanting to be thugs and gain their loyalty for future asks. And then of course take these political prisoners and put them into the for-profit prison system.

The issue is that you can't have discussion or debate with:

1. statements in bad faith
2. statements not based on reality (conspiracy theories/misinformation/"alternative facts"

So the issue is once you have removed those, you aren't left with many people holding a very broad spectrum of viewpoints outside of niche topics (Vi vs Emacs).

I think you are going to have a hard time finding a place to talk with a group that overall deals in bad faith arguments and hate speech. They also tend to silo themselves off to their own platforms over concerns that their hate speech gets them moderated (because Free Speech != does not mean speech without consequences or needs to be tolerated by everyone).

If you really want to see the MAGA "point of view" you are probably better off going to them on Truth Social, Gab, 4chan, The_Donald, etc.

I would agree in the sense that Labor affects capitalism more than attrition. The machine can always replace a meatbag here and there, but something like a strike, or a mass payment freeze is much harder as that hits the bottom line.

Mobilizing the amount of people required though in today's world would take something BIG to break through the constant noise and call people to action.

It's only "horribly shortsighted" if you're not looking to sell backdoors to US intelligence/Security/infrastructure to foreign powers. No doubt this is a 1st step before trying to reform that "cyber security" thing with Vlad again, only maybe this time it's done on the DL.
