  • There's one of the problems. I don't need enough food for a family of four. I need you to give me an appropriate amount of food for one human being for $6.

  • No offense, but if you are an American adult and don't understand why so many posts are political right now you probably need to be reading them. We are probably going through the most problematic power shift the world has seen in 100 years and if we The American People don't start fighting back substantially we are looking at losing most of our rights as free citizens.

    It's that fucking serious.

  • If you have calm discussions and listen, you will absolutely 100% see that most people are actually quite alright. Even if they dont like trans people, they will eventuelly get there, by having discussions and chats and seeing them in the real world.

Respectfully, you have no idea what you're talking about. I live in Texas and I am surrounded by the conservative mindset. There is a chittering madness about these people that causes them to frenzy any time something triggers them as being "woke" or "trans" or in any way challenging to their narrow world-view. They cannot be reasoned with, I have tried far too long with no effect. Their beliefs are couched in white christonationalism and the stupid masses having their stupid beliefs vindicated by bad actors in positions of power.

These people do not feel that anyone unlike them has the right to live the way they want. They WANT to strip trans people of their rights. Pleading for empathy has fallen on empty ears and the ONLY thing that is providing any clarity to these morons is when they themselves are hurt by the stupidity they have summoned. The only time I have heard anyone from the conservative side second guess their vote is when it started to impact them personally. Not when billionaires were immediately given tax cuts, not when children were forcibly taken from their parents, not when first amendment rights violations are being codified into law, not when people have literally been vanished off the streets. None of it matters to them.

  • Chris Hayes spends a good deal of time on this subject in his book The Siren's Call which I can't recommend enough.

  • Also, trees are surprisingly difficult to keep alive if they were artificially introduced to a location. Turns out they don't thrive in a concrete hellscape super well.

  • I guess we're just going to bitch about the foundational checks and balances of our governmental system now. I'm so sick of this clown parade.

  • I guess that's one thing we have going for us. Unlike Hitler, this fascist fuck is old.

  • Xodo and Xchange are both feature rich, lightweight, and easy to use programs. Browser view is fine for a peek but quickly feels clunky.

  • It's really odd to assert that nobody has jobs when that is demonstrably untrue. The economy is quickly swirling the drain, but there are still millions upon millions of working Americans. Shutting down the economy via general strike is the last real resort we have.

I'm not going to sit here and let you demean the one real tool we the people have left.

  • My local NPR station was saying 8% in their most recent funding campaign.

  • It's neither. They have announced two game prices so far. One was $80 the other was $70. I'm of the opinion that they are going to start implementing a kind of tiered pricing, but that's just a shot in the dark.
